How much do you pay per year? Anyone know of something cheaper out there?
November 23, 2010 9:13 pm at 9:13 pm #712384myfriendMemberCheck out Costco’s Auto (and Home) insurance plan. It is through Ameriprise (a former division of American Express). Information is available on Costco.com. It may be worth getting a Costco membership ($50/year) JUST for that.

November 23, 2010 11:24 pm at 11:24 pm #712389ronrsrMemberand what coverage do you have. A responsible person has high-limit liability coverage, in case he injures others — if you’re getting the minimal insurance, you’re not getting that. Liability insurance costs you less than you would think, and makes it possible to provide some restitution to someone you might injure.

November 25, 2010 10:05 pm at 10:05 pm #712392TheChevraMemberIf someone insures their car using an address other than their residence, in order to obtain a lower rate, the insurance company may deny a future claim (especially if their was c”v a major accident) due to fraud, and the person could be personally liable to pay damages to all parties in the claim.
