According to a marketing email I just got from them, they are featuring “Rainbow Cookies – Never had these treasured cookies had such meaning!”, they say. My email of protest was met with “sorry, you can unsubscribe”.

I can also vote with my feet and not patronize them and spread the word so that others can do the same.

I forwarded to the cRc, Ok and OU who they list as certifiers.

you can buy the Reismans cookies yourself and send them fedex, just like they can.

    Reply to my email:

“if that’s the case so be it. we stand firm in the Jewish values that implore upon us to show compassion and kindness to all beings. Thank you, Jane Moritz”

    Email removed.

My reply; “Even though the Torah that you pretend to accept calls this behavior an “abomination” punishable by death.

I guess when Torah values conflict with liberal politically correct values we know which side you choose.”

nishtdayngesheft, They do not have any certifiers. They are not certified at all. They list those certifying agencies as examples of what might be found on their products.

They also list “K” as one of the certifiers they accept and sell. This company is obviously not run by frum people. They are a bit misleading. I wish there would be a way to let everyone know that although they sound like a Kosher company, they are not.

But someone should contact the frum companies who sell them their products. Especially their rainbow products. I am sure they would not be happy knowing people are buying/selling their products to celebrate toeiva.

Her email is on the challah connection website.

I also wrote to Reisman’s as per the suggestion above

Spoke to Reisman’s. They do not sell those cookies to CC. Those cookies are not even carried by Reisman’s

That’s a slight improvement but the banner ad highlighting that product is still objectionable, especially considering the background why it is being promoted.

Quickly glanced at the website, doesn’t appear to be a frum lady. Nothing that indicates shomer shabbos.

But they do have a nice section for Ramadan and Eid.

    Let’s not waste our time.

I used Reismans as an example. Could just as easily have used any one of the other heimishe brands out there. I happened to be eating reismans rugelach at the time of writing.

The mabul came as a result of toeva, Hashem promised not to bring a mabul again but sends the rainbow to remind the world to do teshuva.

So isn’t it ironic that these guys adopted the rainbow as their symbol?
