Today we begin the Chinese Month of the Car. As geula is a Sentral theme of this month we pray that the Altimate geula will come soon.

It is also the beginning of the Year of the Cow in which there are 2 Udders.

Which leads me to my Question – are the Chinese animal years based on Avoda Zara?

The Chinese new year often coincides with Rosh Chodesh Shevat. The names of the months are based on agricultural phenomenons. The year names don’t appear to be based on Avoda Zara (they are race results) but I don’t know what the regigous beliefs were when they were introduced.

Nissan was the sixth largest automaker in the world behind General Motors, Volkswagen Group, Toyota, Hyundai Motor Group, and Ford in 2011. It is a Japanese Company.
