July 10, 2012 2:28 pm at 2:28 pm #884804ZeesKiteParticipantAnd let’s say(!) I post something, would you hear it? My keyboard doesn’t even click, I post EVERYTHING in silence.
July 10, 2012 2:34 pm at 2:34 pm #884805ZeesKiteParticipantDid you smile at any of mine or anyone else’s posts or rant? A smile is contagious – it carries on. You do things differently afterwards. ???? ?????? ??????, I think means someone who makes another smile, gladdens another human person, has done something virtuous.
I have picked up various tidbits about ????? ????? from here too.
I also practice humbleness here, my screen name comes without a title – plain ZeesKite.

July 11, 2012 1:33 pm at 1:33 pm #884808ChortkovParticipantZABOCHUR – i know what you mean. It is very geshmack for a yeshiva bochur to meet virtual people and get involved in the banter here.
Besides for that, i have learnt many halochos here, although – ?????? ?????? – i have also learned not to rely on them. And some of the philosophy discussions here are also eye-openers.
July 11, 2012 5:57 pm at 5:57 pm #884809golferParticipantGotta love that word, geshmack.
Yekke2, now that we’re done with “heimish”, time for you to start a thread on what makes someone really “yeshivish”. Even if you are a yekke.
July 12, 2012 1:10 pm at 1:10 pm #884810ChortkovParticipantGolfer – there is a lot of reid in teitch of the word ‘yeshivish’ – you can kler whether it means ‘cool’, like it is used in a lot of heicha timtzas, or it can mean somebody who is a ‘ben torah’ [according to some people, heinu hach], or a normal yeshiva dude who knows how to chillax. Nafka minah being in a case where you are Mekadesh HaIsha al mnas shu yeshivish – is she mekudeshes or not???
July 12, 2012 6:09 pm at 6:09 pm #884811golferParticipantYekke, that is one tough nafka minah.
I won’t even attempt to answer the question.
LOL
