    We are cruising to Bermuda on Oct 30 for a week. The prices are crazy low, and after hosting the extended family for Tishrei, I need a vacation.

    I hope that we will be able to put together a minyan on the ship (Norwegian Gem leaving from NYC).

    Any ideas on putting together a minyan? Has anyone done this before? I’ve also posted on GoDaven.com.

    Food is not an issue at all. We bring along frozen Cholov Yisroel milk, and the cruise provides pre-packaged, glatt kosher mealsl, as well as all the whole, uncut, fresh fruits and vegetables we want.

    I was in Bermuda about 10 years ago, it was very nice but expensive

    I dont know if you go in the water, bur we did this thing called Helmet diving (We dont know how to Scuba dive), It was cool to see the coral reefs up close.

    I flew there though, I dont think a boat is something for me

    Thanks all! As far as pritzus there, it is not the Caribean, and November is already cool. We were in Bermuda several years ago, and had no problem with pritzus at all. It is still a British colony, considers itself somewhat upperclass, and the standards are much higher than what you’ll find on the streets of NYC.

    leidikgayers: Yiddish for someone who has nothing constructive to do with his time. leidik – empty and gayers means walkers. In other words, someone who walks around doing nothing!
