    I’m looking for some help to facilitate the Siyum on Maseches Avodah Zarah this coming Sunday — the second day of Yom Tov. Please let me know what are your shiurim doing. When are you planning it? What about food?

    The dad yomi that I am part of is having it on Sunday night with all food simple and kosher lpesach. If we can be devoted to learning daf yomi then we can do it lishma without focusing on the fancy geshmake food at the siyum of each masechta.

    I joined daf yomi lishma without any physical benefits to gain from doing daf yomi.

    Can’t wait to start the next Masechta next week

    I’m also not looking for a full-catered meal — I see macaroons & seltzer playing a big part.

    Sunday is already 1st day of Chol haMoed, so this Siyum on “Avodah Zoro” is actually 1st day of Chol haMoed=1st daytime of Omer. I look forward to meriting to bring Korban ho’Omer this Sunday morning, and utilizing new crops to bake fresh Matzo in honor of the Siyum.
