Trump is both crazy and smart. They are not mutually exclusive.
He will never get my vote for any elected office.

I don’t give my vote to anyone, they have to earn it.
That said I’ll be a delegate to the state Democratic Party Convention, and will be bound to cast my vote as my district votes in the primary.
I have not yet committed to Clinton or Sanders. I know Clinton more than 40 years and respect her intelligence. I have only met Sanders 3 times in my life and find him honorable. BUT is he electable? I’m not sure.
I’ll not vote for Trump under any circumstances. I’ll not decide my November vote until we know the official candidates after the national party conventions.

Aren’t you Americans happy that there is a politician (yeah, I know he isn’t, but you know what I mean) who actually speaks his mind, and says what he is thinking, instead of the usual media savvy, planned and choreographed sound bites?

If more people thought like CTLAWYER than like you, regardless of party affiliation, we’d probably have a much better selection of candidates. I do not see how knee jerk cynicism does anything helpful. Nor do random smiley faces and cheap insults.

Personally I don’t understand why Trump is so angry at the Mexicans. They come here and do what? Mow your lawn? wash your floors? Do your manicures? They aren’t shooting anyone or blowing themselves up in airports.
Of course they should come here legally, but they aren’t criminals by and large. They are people who want a chance for a better life.
If you are going to be careful about whom to let into the country, then stop being so politically correct and stop letting in ARABS and MUSLIMS who have a culture of KILLING people randomly. So what if it isn’t everybody. Tough. Let them stop teaching hate and change their culture if they want to be welcome.

Unfortunately many are criminals. They are heavily involved in the drug trade and prostitution/sex slavery here in the northeast, they are involved in many shootings every day.
This occurs not just in big cities, but small towns throughout the USA. BTW>>>the mere fact that they entered the USA illegally makes them criminals, the lack of court proceedings keeps them from being convicts.
I have no problem with legal immigrants, and favor a way to legalize the status of those who have been here illegally and are self supporting.

I don’t at all condone coming here illegally, but to say they are criminals, is like saying that when the yidden crossed borders illegally to save themselves they were being criminals. I don’t think so.

Coffee Addict, Americans aren’t interested in the jobs the Mexicans are doing. They don’t want to work hard physically. They much rather get a monthly check from Uncle Sam. (No research here, just first hand experience.)

we have a lot of boys who are struggling in yeshiva and take on some of those jobs very pridefully. they feel productive and it people don’t look down their noses at them when they are working. not everyone everywhere is lazy.

i never implied the boys are doing all the jobs that the mexicans do. i was answering to the comment that some of the jobs are less available for americans. it makes me uncomfortable explaining myself because i am just not so bigoted and there is no way to spell it out without sounding awful.

Trump is certainly crazy. Smart is up for debate. (Not that Hillary is a great choice for President, either.) He’s either a madman, or very good at acting like a madman. His pronouncements are all empty populist bluster. He has no plans on how to accomplish any of his goals, and his goals seem to be based mostly on whim.

No reason to raise the wages! They already have a program that lets foreigners work here legally. Throw out the illegals.
I remember a time when there were others in this country who did “cheap labor”. That was before anybody & anything got government programs! I think only disabled and/or sick people should get it. I’m believe in Medicaid. They should throw out Medicare!
If only disabled and sick people got help, people would deliberately injure themselves.
