DON’T ATTEND SYNAGOGUE ON YOM KIPPUR IF…
you must drive to get there. If circumstances beyond your control prevent you from being within walking distance of a synagogue, stay and pray at home. DRIVING ON YOM KIPPUR IS PROHIBITED. The hand that turns on the ignition key is the hand that sets Yom Kippur ablaze. One cannot observe Yom Kippur by desecrating it; to drive to synagogue on Yom Kippur is to display pitiful ignorance or gross hypocrisy and sacrilige.
Maintain the sanctity of Yom Kippur. Whether you walk to synagogue or pray at home, may the Almighty accept your prayers for a year of happiness.

And the same applies to Shabbos, obviously. Rabbi Teitz zt’l was not reputed to be a big right-winger.
If you could convince enough members of the Reform and Conservative movements of this, the movements would run out of funds and disappear.
That depends on your definition of “right wing”. I don’t belive anyone will call him a “left wing” individual either.
Why would anyone on this site care about this? I don’t think we have any posters here anymore that are the drive-on-Yom-Kippur types. And, if someone were to be considering driving on Yom Kippur, they aren’t going to care what the halachah says. Why would we suspect someone of being a “right-winger” for suggesting people follow the most basic level of halachah?
I assume this is some form of trolling, but I don’t see why anyone would be upset by this. It’s just kind of weird and confusing, frankly.
Dont bother coming to shul on yom kipper if all you do is cause machlokes!
I’m aware of one large ( 300+ mispallilim on Shabbos) Chabad shul in a major city that takes a different approach. If asked, they don’t allow driving to shul but they leave their parking lot open. The rav believes that the non shomer shabbos are going to drive somewhere anyway, so it is better to come to shul than the mall.
At least 50% of shuls with “frum” rabbis turn a blind eye to this, as well as having the once a year guests cell phones going off during Yizkor.

That doesn’t mean those posters hold that it’s mutar to drive on Yom Kippur. Counting them in a minyan is another discussion. Other than that, what kind of “reproach” is there? Are you just referring to the people peddling the kiruv-friendly, PC mantra of “it’s so beautiful that they’re actually doing something for Yom Kippur; even though they drove it’s such a big mitzvah; wow look at the big mitzvah boy, etc?” If so, yes, I agree that needs to stop and I’m insanely sick of it too. It’s like saying when they worshiped idols in the Beis HaMikdash that “at least it got Jews to show up, and I think that’s beautiful.”
It is not a universally held opinion that one should reproach people via Mitzvah Goreret Averah, You dont think Chabad houses know that people drive to the services on Yom Kippur?
Its not about Holding that its Muttar, but Chabad feels better they drive to Shul than drive to the Mall and they hope to get them to follow more
Someone who drives to shul on shabbos can be counted for the minyan.
