When would it be more efficient to use a fan instead of an air conditioner? How will it cool a room differently?
An a/c can actually lower the temperature; a fan merely circulates the air.
DY – A fan that exhausts air out of the room, can make the room cooler.
A fan is good to circulate air, not make it cooler. On a cool day, with an open window, a fan would make sense. On a hot day, its a great way to stay hot.

let me tell you that the ac at work is not working and we have fans on.
it is still hot.
i prefer ac over fans any day.
