I do freelance work for a few different companies. This year I had someone do my taxes for me, but I’d rather deal with them myself, if possible. Does anyone have experience with this? I’m guessing there’s a program or website I could use, but I’m not sure which would be best in this situation. I will pay for a program/site if it is good and will help me not over-pay. I need to do estimated quarterly taxes, too, so is anything available to help with that, too? Thanks!

Is all your freelance work in one State? & in the state where you reside?

If so:- Hatzlocho with your taxes. If not:- Don’t even think of doing your taxes without an experienced accountant.

    No big deal.

Use turbotax for free for the federal. Then just do the state one yourself with those numbers. Depending where you live, your state may have free software on their website also.

Do you know if turbotax is also good for estimated quarterly taxes?

if someone did your taxes for you – then they should also figure out estimated taxes and give you pay stubs which you send in or pay online.
