How can one elevate himself from the lower economic rungs of society to an upper middle class lifestyle?

It’s a secret. We don’t want too many people up here.

i dont have an answer to that, but the first thing that popped into my head was: with all the programs from the gov. for lower income families, and all the taxes for the middle class families, it might be easier to stay on the lower income rung…

You can either go to an Ivy League college and finagle a job at Goldman Sachs, or found a successful start-up.

Start a new country like they did in 1776. This one has run it’s course and economic mobility seems to be affected by gravity more than opportunity.

    Marry rich.

Ok, serious. Take it from someone that has spent time on both ends of the wealth spectrum. Being truly rich is not as much fun as people think. Lots of stress, lots of angst.

Being poor is no fun either, but at least you really know where you stand with your life

    Make lots of money.

You are asking how to make lots of money. Usually, it takes a combination of good skills (learned or natural, though learning may require other skills), hard work, and mazel.

“When were you on the rich side of the spectrum”

It varies by day. Sometimes I feel like Warren Buffet (more $$ than I can spend)

Other days, (like when the summer camp bill arrives) not so optimistic.

Today, BH, is a good day!
