We got married last Friday,
My girl was right there beside me,
Our friends were all gone,
We were alone.
Side by side.
We were so happily wed, when,
She got ready for bed, then,
Her teeth and her hair,
She placed on a chair,
Side by side.
One glass eye, so tiny,
One hearing aid so small,
Then she took one leg off,
And placed it,
On the chair by the wall.
I stood there brokenheartred,
Most of my girl had departed,
I slept on the chair,
There was more of here there,
Side by side.

Thanks, but sorry, as I wrote somewhere else – I don’t know which way to READ a poem. Yes, they’re beautiful when well written, it take talent, in which I’m quite low.

Could the Human Spellchecker please clarify for me: When the word ‘because’ is shortened, does it become ’cause’ or ‘cos’. Or does it just depend on how lazy the typist is? Cos cause is a word on its own eg the cause of the world problems stem from the Middle East etc.
