I didn’t see that one. The goldfish is apparently recovering well and is expected to live another ten years. Although if it was my goldfish it would anyway be dead soon.

At least goldfish don’t make a mess like budgies

Goldfish are not intelligent beings. AND the ten-cent goldfish die within a week of purchase because they are already old.

Crazy brit- I have budgies. Honestly I prefer them to goldfish. They’re a lot easier to look after

Crazy that someone would spend so much money on a goldfish that’s going to die anyway. That’s what goldfish do

    notasheep,

no, goldfish swim and eat, its owners dont take care of them properly and thats why they die

Goldfish die because you bought them from the store when they’re already old and carried them home in a plastic bag.

    rebyidd,

so in that case if you buy guppies then they would live a long time

Nobody knows how long guppies live. One would have to be able to tell them apart.

I fed my goldfish, changed the water in the tank and it still died. My budgies, on the other hand, get their feed topped up when I notice it’s low, clean the cage when it really looks like it needs to be done and they are still chirping after four years. Explain.

I once bought a Snapple drink and was reading the interesting fact located under the lid ….it read “a goldfish’s attention span is 3 seconds”.

Yes, I realized later that you could be in England.

(Would you like to know what had me asking? Well, I’ll tell you anyway. A post of yours was made 4-5 hours before 10PM Eastern Time (East Coast of the US) last Motzaei Shabbos, so you had to be in a time zone significantly ahead.)

And an average person’s attention spans is one second less than that of a goldfish. Serious. Go google it. All thanks to social media….

The quarantined threads are to protect people from the troll virus. I was afraid, from your last post, that you may have been exposed.

Sorry, did not mean to offend.

    How many is ‘plenty’, notasheep?

I knew that the Gateshead kehilla was small, but hadn’t realized quite how small. When I checked into it recently, I was shocked to find out that it only had 450 – 600 families (according to different reports). (We, in Eretz Yisroel, have more than 2/3 of that amount living on our smallish street alone!!).

That’s what they call ‘quality over quantity’!!

Of course there’s all the bochurim & sem girls too.

Correct me if I’m wrong about the numbers.

Amazing how such a tiny kehilla has made such a mark, & is world famous.

Back to fish subject, a neighbor once asked me to look after her fish over Pesach (chol hamoed etc). I followed her instructions to the letter, but after a few days of our dedicated care, we found the fish had met an early demise… & they looked abit tougher than goldfish…

    Don’t mention silverfish!
