Hardly any thanks from the frum community when Biden sent tons and tons and tons of arms to Israel, on its first year of this war.
Now that Trump is almost ready to throw Israel under the bus, do the frummies now see how much Hakoras Hatov (gratitude) they were lacking during Biden’s term?
I doubt it, MAGA was the be all and end all for them. Shame on them. They are guilty of a total lack of gratitude for our previous president and now they’re reaping the results.
    Let’s hope for the best.

yechiell, people do indeed lack gratitude; politicians lack conviction and follow their own interest; and – people like putting explanations that fits their biases.

Two big wars were started by axis of evil on Biden’s watch (well, Russia really attacked Ukraine under Obama but at the time many dismissed it as a small bump). And while you can’t blame US Presidents for everything reshayim do, his visible lack of abilities was definitely part of their consideration. His best time was in actually taking a stand in both cases and not surrendering. But his good impulse was quickly checked by his own lack of abilities (see Bob Gates) and people who surrounded him. It is easier to demonstrate on the example of Ukraine, as we are less emotionally involved and also Ukraine was in a more dire situation.

Ukraine started a counter-attack and then required Western weapons to break through Russian defences. Those were given after 6 month delay, in the amounts that were (in inept calculations by his advisers) exactly enough to push Russia away but not leading to a big defeat with chaos; artillery and airplanes were not allowed. Russians used those 6 months to build defences and restructure their forces. Artillery and planes were given later. Permission to shoot into Russian territory came even later. In short, Biden’s people were enjoying being in control and tried to manage the most politically comfortable ending without having any skills. This is already admitted in articles and books

You are entitled to your opinion about Trump, we don’t need to argue here, but you can clearly see that he is very agile in his positions. When problem arise, he can change his position instead of standing by his favorite theory. Hope this will make you feel better.

You’ve written stuff like that before and I pointed out that it was Biden that caused all of this in the first place. (I don’t recall a single time where you responded to what I wrote.)

Ask any of the relatives of the 1,200 + kedoshim that were murdered al kiddush Hashem if they’d rather have their relatives or the tons and tons and tons of arms that Biden provided to Israel.

A President that allowed this to happen under his watch (and the explosion of global Anti-Semitism that followed) deserves no Hakoras hatov (even if you justify it on his senility).

Shame on you for insinuating that a president who made the entire world more dangerous for practically every Yid (including you) deserves gratitude just because he also took lots of money from hard working people to give entitlements to lazy people.

Moshiach is coming – it can be felt in the air. I strongly suggest that you stop being a mouthpiece for a political party that is diametrically opposed to everything the Torah and Hashem stand for.

1- Biden was senile during his entire presidency. No serious person disputes this. So you are referring to whoever was running the government. It was not Biden.

2- Biden’s govt provided weapons but with restrictions. You cannot use them in this area or that area. He then prohibited using them in hamas strongholds.

3- as the war progressed and Israel was going through its precision munitions the administration refused to replenish them so they were forced to used unguided munitions. You’ll recall when Netanyahu met with Harris and she just yelled at him and stormed out. They did not resupply Israel with what Israel needed.

Hakaros hatov for what? For tying the hands of Israel’s leadership and soldiers?

    @yachiell

We had a very similar conversation literally two years ago to the day. It’s mind boggling how someone who witnessed the events of the past two years can still have your opinion.

Two years ago we had a senile president in control who allowed the worst attack on Yidden since WWII.

ברוך השם we now have a president who stands up for us.

    In the past two years-

President Trump rescinded some (if not all) of biden’s draconian anti- drilling policies that made the US reliant on others for oil.

President Trump knocked out Iran’s nuclear reactors without using nuclear weapons.

Iran retaliated by blocking the Strait of Hormuz which sent the price of oil up considerably albeit still less than the highest price of gas from when Biden was in charge.

Now let’s try to imagine what could have happened if biden didn’t provide Israel with the minimum amount of conventional weapons needed to save themselves from being annihilated (with serious restrictions on how they could be used on top of that).

Do you think Israel would have just lay back and let themselves get destroyed? Or would they have used their nuclear arsenal to defend themselves? That could easily have triggered a complete closure of the Strait (and with a sleepy, spineless leader napping in the Oval Office with zero experience in foreign affairs…) as well as a severe oil shortage in the US due to the already heavy restrictions on drilling.

What would that have sent the price of gas (and everything else) up to? $10? $15? Possibly even higher?

Even the looniest of the libs would have voted against biden (or Harris) in the next election given such a scenario.

It’s ludicrous to think that this was understood by a senile pervert who spent his days looking for women to smell their hair but that you don’t seem to get it.

biden was no friend of Israel and couldn’t care less about us. biden was worried about staying in power and his 10%.

You need to set aside the generous entitlements the Democrats are giving lazy people to not work (funded by the hard working people) and rethink your opinion.

    #2577978

Dr Pepper, this is not just democrats, whole humanity is not impressed by great life they have and things others esp leaders provide for them.
I think it is ben Azzai who thanked for so many people making his day possible

I heard recently from a political writer that 90s were best times – after USSR was not anymore and before the rise of islamists .. I answered – do you remember what you were writing then how Clinton exploits are the end of the world? He sighed…

so, nobody appreciates achievements, only looks at what is not perfect… Bibi destroyed several enemy armies and now nobody supports him – he is too soft for some, too brutal for others and is killing soldiers for no reason according to others. Same w Trump

but why the question marks? not sure what you’re talking about, like most maga nuts on this forum?
the definition of a maga nut: someone who blames everything on biden.
what distorted views ! it boggles the mind.
i think i’ll take another year off from posting here – maybe by then the orange blob will be retired and sense will return to you guys

Another Proof Biden is Against Israel

    @yechiell

When the person in the highest position in the most powerful country on the planet shows his cluelessness and weakness and our enemies take advantage of that- who’s to blame?

    Ask yourself as follows:

There are plenty of anti-Semites who claim that Trump is in Israel’s back pocket, etc., etc., ad nauseam. The same was rarely if ever heard about Biden and his arms shipments. Now why is that? Should maybe clue you in that it was pretty obvious, even to the most rabid anti-Semite, that Biden was doing his best to hobble Israel – much like his mentor Obama – rather than help them.

Nope: You don’t remember the nickname “Genocide Joe”? You don’t remember the people in Michigan, New York, and other states who left their Democratic primary ballots blank in 2024 so as not to vote for “Genocide Joe”? You don’t remember the imams in Dearborn that said to vote for Trump because “Biden/Harris fund bombs, Trump at least is more of a blank slate”?
I do. Plenty others do. Biden & Israel have a much more complex relationship than many acknowledge.
