I’m sorry I wasn’t clear. I meant that people should do what they want with their MM lesheim shamayim, whether it is themed, fancy, simple, or lame. I’m saying themed MM shouldn’t be a social burden, with people worrying more about what other people are doing than the mitzvah itself. What other people send shouldn’t make a difference to what I send. Kids should be shown the mitzvah is important, not what anyone else is doing.
Making fancy themed shaloch manos is the equivlant to avodah zara (included in that catagory is cars fancier then mine, vacations that cost more then mine, buying cloths that cost more then mine, fancier simchas then mine and of course spending more money on aliyos then me)
One is CHAYIV MISAH for behaving in such a way
Also correcting my spelling mistakes
Whitecar, is it an action or a behavior?
@rebyidd23 stop questioning. You have no emunas chachamim
On the contrary, you are the one to lack emunas chachamim.
Rebyid23 excuse me? Do you know who i am? I am from a very choshuva family with very choshuva yichus. I speak on a normal basis with choshuva rabbanim very often and have been honored (against my will of course) by many dinners and simaler events. The chesed is uncomparable! Just ask my wife and kids, theyll confirm to you Im never home. Always out doing chesed.
The unbeliveable emunah and bitachon I have is not to be believed and I thank you for the Portion of Olam Habah you gave to be (since you attempted to embarress me in public) and if anyone needs a beracha let me know cause i am one who does not answer to those who embaress me berabim (and i have very choshuva yichus)
You, knowing less about me than I know about you (nice shirt, by the way), made the accusation first.
Of course, the wow factor of an over the top package, that goes with the over the top costume, is wow. However, people go too far and much too much food goes to waste. Simple is the best and appreciated. And please…no more silver or gold wrapped zaza’s this year!
