I would like to know if anybody has any ideas how a yeshiva bochur who learns the whole day could make some pocket money?
Tutoring? The time you spend tutoring is still learning.

Tutoring, leining, or bechinos come to mind. In the slightly longer run, maybe learn a klei kodesh skill like safrus and make some money checking tefillin. You’re still learning when you do that too.
Selling food (danishes/candy/soda/etc) to fellow bochrim.

Well, all my real posts get deleted. Can you please put the one up about yeshivish yeshivas. There is nothing wrong with that. In fact my sister just married a lkwd guy.
By the way mod 80, if you are not married, I have a really good shidduch for you.

The best money is in Shabbos and early morning hashgacha jobs. Think spending Shabbos in a nursing home or being a mashgiach at Shabbos catered events.
Leining can be good money if you combine jobs at different shuls, or if it is a far walk.
Tutoring can be good money if you do research and find a good paying gig.
Tutor, bind seforim, sell food, danishes, chulent Thursday nights, run a dry cleaning program.
Tutoring sounds like the best. I don’t know where you are located, but people in Israel can earn extra on Fridays by washing building (hallway) floors.
Have your wife bake cakes and sell them during supper on Thursday nights for Shabbos and…oh wait…
Derech: Most “bochur’s” (as the title indicates) don’t have wives. In fact, none I know do.
derech hamelech – usually a boucher means somonoe thats not married.

Smuggle cigarettes and sell them in Yeshiva.

Also in E”Y you can get 10 shek per haircut, which isn’t bad if you know how to do it really well.

I think I’m going to EY for my future haircuts.
If someone knows how to cut hair really well , he will take far more than 10 shekels. If all a yeshiva boy wants is a buzz, then 10 shekels is quite a large sum of money per allotted time.
tmb: I didn’t mean in the barber shop I meant in yeshivah. At least that’s what the guys charged where I went.
Still the barber shop only charges about 20 shek as opposed to americhka charging like 13 dollars.
10 shekels is about $2.50. That’s closer to what you tip a barber in the US, then what you pay.
a good job for a bocher is to help for the sick like nursing homes or hospitals the money- will be in shamayim the schar thats the best for a bocher. build up your insides that someone out there will want you. “its the inside that counts” leave the money to the one above he takes care of everything and hell take care of this a well.

Pack in yeshiva and get a job. At least he will have some foundations for a livelihood when he gets married

How do you define a whole day?
In U.S.A. a whole day of learning is usually 10-2 and 4-7:30 unless you have a morning and evening kollel.
So if you are here in U.S.A. there is time for doing a bread route for a bakery, taking an elderly man to shul, teaching English to lower grades,cleaning a shul,delivering for a grocery or others.
Remember it’s not a sin to work, it’s a sin to steal!

I’m not sure which yeshiva you’re referring to, but I think my experience is more standard.
If you are looking for a get rich quick scheme go back to sleep and keep dreaming.
If you are looking for some pocket money or to start saving up some money. There are many things you can do if you look for it, use your imagination or look around your own neighborhood.

Habiltation worker(formrly Res-Hab) You can take on as many hours as good for you, and choose a job that has hours that fit your schedule… all other were mentiond

Hadar HaTorah in Crown Heights starts at 0930, after a solid morning of learning. 🙂
