At many a simcha I have to defend my plate from being stolen. How do you stop this thievery?
While in the middle of eating, if I put down my fork and knife for a second, the waiters are waiting like voltures, and if you turn around for a second to greet a friend, even if you didn’t leave your seat, that’s it, your plate is gone.
Even while in my seat, if I take out my phone in the middle of eating to answer a call, I’ll have to physically stop the waiter from taking my plate. It’s a scandal.

Don’t worry he won’t do it again
