..that birds found within fifty amos of a coop, belong to to owner of the coop. So my question is what if one foot was in the fifty amos and the other was out?

you would get kicked out of yeshiva for that question

But the answer is: The same way you would know if both were in or both were out

Normally when I hunt birds, I notice the general outline of the bird but not the feet. If the outline is within the fifty amos, I know the bird is within fifty amos.

Can one get kicked out of yeshiva for asking questions?

I thought that the yeshiva encourages questions

LB: Excellent question. No, they won’t get kicked out for asking THAT.

And the answer to your question is that everything has boundaries. If one is asking a question, in a serious Yeshiva setting, just to joke or jest, that is out of place. If one is asking a question to cast doubt, mistrust in divrei Chazal or Torah, that is out of place.

You may not have known it, OP’s question and the two answers are Rashi and Tosefos to an occurrence on something in today’s Daf.

Now let’s see if anyone’s onto the heading.. (if I have to spell it out)

If you are exactly halfway around the world, you’ll want to move a little closer. Just walk a couple of feet and problem solved.

    “Daven facing the floor?”

That’s funny. Kids and I were reading this comic book about a frum kid on the moon who was davening, with his heart directed to Yerushalayim. One son said he should have lay down to face the floor and then he would be facing Earth/yerushalayim down below.
