In the first Trump administration his supporters said – correctly – he is not a politician, he is a businessman and a showman. Take what he says seriously but not literally. He says all kinds of crazy stuff but he seems to have an idea what he wants to do. Don’t listen as much as watch. He seems to have a very big ego and seems to have a very big love for America. He sees – as do all people of even average intellect – that Iran is a danger to the world and however much it can strangle the world’s energy supply now – it will be able to do so much more and cause much greater damage if they were a nuclear power. He seems to be the only leader who both acknowledges this and acts on that conviction. I suspect all the other leaders know this as well but none has the character to act. They are all weak, spineless men.

I think Trump (everyone really) knows the left wing that controls the media narrative will always hate him until the next republican in which case – like GWB, George Bush, and RR, they will come to a strange new respect for him and decry the current Republican “literally worse than Hitler.” I think he is unconcerned about what the media will say about him but wants a legacy that he made the world more peaceful – as we see in the Abraham accords and as he hopes to achieve by neutralizing Iran.

Clearly he loves Israel and clearly he loves America.
