How did no one quote this yet???:

My belt holds my pants up, but the belt loops hold my belt up. I don’t know what’s really happening down there. Who is the real hero? – Mitch Hedberg

This is funny because i change my pants about once or twice a year. A few weeks ago a changed to a different pair of pants and they are loose around the waist. Whenever I walk they begin to slip down. Sometimes it’s too annoying to keep holding onto them so I just let them fall all the way down. It’s funny anyways

does anyone have any real ideas besides for “lose weight”? this is a common problem with many jewish people and solutions wud be realy helpful. suspenders arent (isnt?) so practical cause when someones big and they wear suspenders they become a “suspenders guy”. most people dont wanna be restricted to that.

Wearing robes solves all these problems.

Only Jewish people have that unique shape or are they the only people who still care if the trousers fall below? What was wrong with hidden suspenders? Are you afraid of being a secret suspenders guy?

You can also cut or sew loops on your shirt or undershirt and sew loops on the inside of the pants and put on an internal belt. Likewise, you can put a zipper on your shirt and pants. In that case, you should wear a belt as well so that the shirt and pants don’t move together like a children’s outfit.

His suspenders will be alternating sides.

How about some snaps? The main weight is supported by the belt, while the snaps avoid the downward slip.

You are not alone – buy an unstoppabelt on line, it will help you keep your pants up plus it’s comfortable and actually works.

Maybe if you get a lap band surgery you can work out a way to connect a port for holding pants.

on a serious note i remember in my fathers shul in the south there was a family of sefardim that had a simcha one shabbos. the patriarch of the family got called up for an aliyah and his pants proceeded to fall all the way down to his ankles. to show you the kovod the children have, the sons and other male relatives ran up to the bima and all held their taleisim up to form a curtain so to speak. the man pulled up his pants tucked himself in and he continued with his aliyah, and the men went down from the bima. not a laugh, snicker or spoken word just true kibud av

Years ago, a relative of mine (about 10) answered the door to his house to find a shaliach mitzvah collecting. This relative wanted to tell the person in Yiddish that his father wasn’t home and he said – mine tatteh nisht in da hoizen.
