Why are unsupported claims against Kavanaugh presumed to be true whereas the same claims made about democratic senators dismissed with no (or very little) coverage?

    Media Bias.

Because the left controls the media.

The claims against Ted Kennedy are indisputable facts.

What about Al Franken? The media was all over that situation. He was pressured by his fellow Democrats to resign for behavior that was far more benign than what Kavanaugh is alleged to have done.

There was no media coverage of Chappaquiddick? There doesn’t seem to be much about it that’s indisputable either, other than that Kennedy was driving and Kopechne died.

Because no one is accusing Kennedy or Ellison of doing it to them.

Remember when Franken was forced by his own party to resign?

Ordinary citizen supporters of Republicans should hunt and find scores of women who, with strategic timing before close elections, accuse Democrat senators and congressmen of abusing them 30 years prior. They only need to make their case leaked to the media. And once their are a few accusers per politician, there’s “a credible pattern of abuse”.

That should also put the final nail in the coffin regarding using abuse claims as a political weapon.

Welcome shmerel, I was waiting for you 😈

From fox news, the only news source that will report on it (because the lame street media was focused on Kavanaugh)

Ellison, a Democrat running for attorney general in Minnesota, has been accused by his former girlfriend of physical and emotional abuse throughout the time they dated. Karen Monahan alleged Ellison once dragged her off a bed while shouting profanities and sent multiple abusive text messages.

I copied and pasted the second paragraph of the article

    Joe,

It will never happen because the lame street media is in the Democrats pocket

The R’s obviously think they are immune to this stuff since the “base” gave the Trumpkopf a pass with his 15 accusers, the video where he acknowledges grabbing women, etc. The next test will be Cong. Jordan from Ohio who is seeking become majority leader when Ryan retires, even though there are allegations he was aware of sexual abuse of athletes in Ohio when he was a wrestling coach.

Franken was a sacrificial lamb to the #metoo movement, and actually was an attempt to undermine Trump and get him to resign. The Left eats its own when necessary for the good of The Party. (Just like they did to dr. Ford)

There was an actual picture of Franken. There was an allegation against Kavanaugh which was unfounded. The Kennedy family are known womanizers.

    Katanhadorah,

I thought the Democrats think they’re immune to it because of the king slick willie, joe Biden, John Edwards……..

    I can go on

There has been no shortage of pritzus scandals of one sort or another involving politicians of both parties. Wikipedia has an article of Federal scandals going back to Alexander Hamilton. The media love them because they sell. It’s not just the U.S. The Profumo scandal in the UK and the Berlusconi scandal in Italy made headlines worldwide.

The Ellison allegations have been covered in detail in the Washington Post and other mainstream media outlets, as have other scandals involving Democrats (Elliott Spitzer and Eric Schneiderman come to mind).

Well it looks like Kavanaugh’s main accuser might have gotten confused

From Fox News (I know, it’s fox)

Among them: the report summarizes a statement from a man who believes he may have been involved in an encounter with Christine Blasey Ford around the time of her claim of misconduct against Kavanaugh. Some of this emerged during the Supreme Court confirmation process, but the report provides more details.
