I heard that there are kosher phones in America.
Can anyone confirm if it’s true? and if yes where it can be bought?
March 20, 2012 9:01 pm at 9:01 pm #935520yitayningwutParticipantYes. In Lakewood you can get them at the frum cell phone stores; there are a few.
March 8, 2013 2:26 pm at 2:26 pm #935521snowbunny3318MemberAlso, if you check out venishmartem (the Guard Your Eyes ads that appear on the top of half the pages on this website), they have a number for a frum family that sells meshumar phones for verizon.
March 8, 2013 2:57 pm at 2:57 pm #935522truthsharerMemberYou can get it from your provider, no need to spend money. Just call up and turn off text messaging and internet.
March 8, 2013 3:41 pm at 3:41 pm #935523jbaldy22MemberYes, the problem with getting it directly from the provider is that it is not difficult to renable it if you want to (assuming the phone is capable). Unfortunately I know someone who was receiving charges for a phantom line on their account and it was done through a frum store. Be careful. Also the rates are not as good as what you can get in Israel.
