Who thinks all these bombings are a conspiracy?
After all, Rabin killing was a left wing conspiracy!
The reason I’m thinking that – because no one was killed or injured.
And it’s right before an election & the first bombing was by Soros (maybe a test run). Would he want to make the right-wing look bad?!?

Do you have a shred of evidence that points to it being a “liberal conspiracy”? I’ve read a few threads on the topic and to be honest they all sound exactly like those anti-Semitic threads that try to pin the blame of 9/11 on Israel.

Maybe the right does the conspiracy through the president not being civil against his opponents creating an encitement against them?

Yseribus: Do you have a shred of evidence that it was done by anytime associated with the right or holds rightward views?

If not, do you equally denounce the mainstream media for implying or associating it with the right?

    Yserbius,

How can you compare 9/11 where countless people died to this where no one even got hurt

    I totally agree with health

Also, with regards to the 9/11 analogy: we know who was responsible for 9/11. Anyone who suggests that someone else was responsible for 9/11 is, by definition, a conspiracy theorist.

With this case, we still don’t know who did it. So, any discussions regarding it will be theoretical.

These fake bombs coming from the left is the most logical explanation, even if yet unproven.

I generally always deny conspiracy theories, but I would actually give this about a 40% chance of being a liberal conspiracy. For there to be that many bombs and have all of them conveniently be faulty could cause suspicion. However, given that they all probably came from the same source, they could have just been made by a bad bomb-maker. The main thing is, even though this thought has crossed all of our minds, the conservative media and politicians need to resist the urge to share this theory. If they do, that would be exactly what the conspirators would want.

Even though I would not at all be shocked if this were a liberal conspiracy, I’m still saying 60% chance it was some Timothy McVae anarchist type. These things do happen, unfortunately.

On 9/11, suspects were named pretty quickly. Are the dems waiting til the elections for the whole story to develop? It looks too well planned out.

    Health,

“The reason I’m thinking that – because no one was killed or injured.”

No, the reason you’re thinking that is because you believe that anyone who happens to have a different political viewpoint than you do must be evil incarnate. Overwhelmingly, a person who mails a bomb to someone else does not like that person. As for why no one was killed or injured, there are numerous reasons that are far more plausible than a false-flag conspiracy, including:
    1. Many of the recipients are high profile figures, and thus their mail is screened carefully
    2. Once Soros received the suspicious package, everyone else became much more careful with their mail
    3. If the bomber made the packages too easy to detonate, they likely would kill postal workers in the sorting room rather than the intended target, so s/he made them harder to detonate, which increased the chances of their getting discovered before detonation

Anyone with a brain should be questioning the legitimacy of the story, especially after it was confirmed that the package sent to CNN was harmless.

    1,

“Anyone with a brain should be questioning the legitimacy of the story, especially after it was confirmed that the package sent to CNN was harmless.”

There have been numerous instances of white powder getting mailed to prominent figures, and subsequent analysis showing that the powder is harmless. Sometimes the intent is to terrify, not necessarily kill.

To all the believers in the liberal conspiracy theory, please tell us all right now what your response is going to be if it is discovered that the bombs were sent by a Trump supporter.
I would like to know right now so that you don’t have time to watch fake fox news or listen to Lying Sean Hannity etc to figure out what to say.

    RebYidd23 ,
First, I will hold that answer for you. Please do not use any other excuses from now on.
Second , when I tell you that Trump is a Russian puppet, how will you prove me wrong? Any evidence that you present, I will say that is part of the conspiracy.
This is what is called gaslighting. It is the defining term of the Trump administration. Reality means nothing. Only what Trump and fake fox news tell you to think and believe is true. Nebach.

I’m comparing it to 9/11 because all the rationale I’ve heard about it being a “liberal conspiracy” sounds like the anti-Semitic “theories” about 9/11. If that’s too much to swallow, then it sounds like the Stony Brook shooting conspiracy, where people claimed that “government agents” brainwashed Lanza and all the deaths were fake or something.

    #1611235

    RebYidd23 ,

The excuse was ” his being a Trump supporter is part of the conspiracy.” It is an excuse for when the terrorist is discovered to be a Trump supporter and not a Democrat.
Why can’t you admit to the truth and reality if he is a Trump supporter?
I will admit to the truth if he is a Democrat.
Why are we even having a bizarre thread before the authorities catch the terrorist and tell us who he is?
The answer is because Trump supporters need to get ahead of the story. They are so afraid that this is from a Trump supporter that they need to plant seeds of doubt in people’s minds that it is a conspiracy from the left.
A reasonable reaction is that we should all wait and see who the terrorist is and then we can discuss it.

Anyone who doesn’t think it could be liberal hasn’t been following the news recently, they’ll stoop to anything. At the same time however, there is an equal chance that it is some angry trump supporter.
I just don’t understand why Republicans are saying it is for sure a liberal when they have no way of knowing if it is, and have a large chance of being made to look like fools.

Let me ask you a question – if it’s Trump supporter – just send one device – to scare e/o.
    Why send so many?!?
These devices weren’t meant to do tons of harm.
Why not send very powerful ones?
    From CBS news:
“The packages contained crude but functional low-ordnance explosive devices, a law enforcement official told CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton. At least two of the devices consisted of a pipe, wires and black powder, the official said.”

Well Health, what’s the latest false-flag conspiracy spin on this?

    “Why send so many?!?”

As you said, to scare e/o!

“These devices weren’t meant to do tons of harm.”

They were packed with shards of glass. No, these weren’t meant to take out a city block, but they do seem to be designed to kill or maim the ones opening them.

“Why not send very powerful ones?”

Because that would require greater intelligence, skill, and resources than this guy likely had. And more powerful bombs would be heavier and harder to send in the mail.

The FBI Director yesterday afternoon said these devices were real and could kill. He also dismissed the lunatic conspiracy theories and refused to comment about the Trumpkopf’s use of quotation marks in his tweet when referring to the “bombs”. Even Geraldo Rivera today apologized for suggesting a false flag scenario. To those idiots like Limbaugh, Savage etc,, I’d just wish one of these “toys” shows up in their mailbox so we can wish whats left of them a refuah shelamah.

The bottom line is that there are violent evil people on the right as well as on the left, and it’s silly to try to prove either liberalism or conservatism wrong based on these people’s actions.

The conspiracy theories were dumb before they caught this guy, and even dumber after, but it shouldn’t change anyone’s vote.

The only thing it should do is teach both sides to tone down the rhetoric, but of course it won’t.

    RebYidd23,
    I disagree.
I saw the post yesterday on YWN ( that was removed) that had a completely false and disingenuous attack on all Democrats saying that they have been calling for assassination.
I read how people on YWN write against all liberals with loathing and detest.

Why believe in a conspiracy theory over the straight facts?

It is clear to me that Robert Bower’s hatred for Jews led him to believe the most unbelievable conspiracies against Jews. He honestly believed that we are committing genocide to his people.
He is not mentally incompetent or crazy. He is filled with hatred and it was fed and nourished by others in social media (gab) with the same views.

We should realize as frum jews that we do not follow an R or D but Hashem and that we are in Golus.
The spokespeople for the R’s and D’s are not our idols and we do not worship what they say.
They are politicians and the Mishna says – אל תתודע לרשׁות שׁאין וכו׳
The constitution and all the amendments, including the second, were not given to Moshe Rabbenu on Har Sinai.

Jackk: I don’t believe that post was removed. All the statements in it made by liberals were real. Not all Democrats are calling for violence, but those celebrities/politicians that are get a lot of positive attention in the press.

Conspiracies against Jews leading to Antisemitism are out there, but they aren’t being spread by Trump. Support for violence against Jews is Israel, on the other hand, is being publicly spread by liberals.

    Neville,

You are correct. It wasn’t removed.
Can you see a distinction between what an elected politician says from what a stupid, idiotic, and low-life celebrity says ?
Can you show me where the democrats didn’t care about any of these statements ? (The Chazon Ish famously said that if he would refute everything said in his name he would be spending the whole day). There is no official democratic department called the “let us show we reject the stupid statements of celebrities.”
Where does the op-ed writer get the audacity to put false words into democrats mouths? They didn’t care about a shooting at a concert ? Or the shooting of Steve Scalise ?

This author believes that all democrats want innocent people at a concert to die? Or for a Congressman to die?
The writer is full of hatred towards democrats and will, just like Robert Bowers did about Jews, attribute the vilest motives and actions towards all of them.
Assassinating Trump is not a democratic goal – never was and never will be.
I wish TYW would remove the op-ed because it is so full of lies and hatred. There is one small step by an unhinged individual from reading that op-ed to actually doing harm to democrats.

I will also remind all the peace loving , genuflecting to DT, republicans of the 8 years of Obama when they couldn’t get enough of mocking and degrading him. (Remember in the middle of the State of the Union speech – “you lie”). There were also many real assassination attempts against him and his family. Nobody ever thought that the republican party was behind them.
