Could you help me understand the connection? Is marijuana or toeiva marriage bad for the environment?

You’re right. It’s normal to throw someone in jail for years because he smoked a substance. Very normal.

I also would not equate toeiva marriages with marijuana.
One can be used to ease pain, at least it has good qualities. The other is only pain.

I was saying in regards that both marijuana and toeiva marriage are completely assur ( obviously if a guy needs it for medical purposes that’s another story)!!!

Toeiva marriage is terrible for the environment. It causes global flooding.

You really ought to try the re-useable bags over the plastic bags. They dont break when you are carrying bottles. They also hold more stuff so you can make less trips from the car to your home or apartment..

Reusable bags can spread salmonella if not washed after carrying chicken etc. Many people don’t wash them often enough. And in cities where shopping is often done by foot on the spur of the moment, reusable bags don’t cut it.

I live in NYC, Its easier for me as I have less trip from my car to my house. especially since I cannot park exactly in front of my house and have to walk with the bags

If you use a shopping cart, the plastic bags frequently fall through the cracks, the reuseable ones since they are bigger do not

It’s the inevitable conclusion of liberalism that they will start banning necessary things and legalizing things that should stay illegal. An entire mindset built around correcting the laws will have to do this to remain relevant after the laws have been corrected to be fair.

Why equate marijuana and toeiva? That’s even sillier than making plastic bags illegal.

    Topic makes a great point.
Lived in a city that banned plastic bags, but only for law abiding citizens of course. It was the most comical and absurd things. Got out of there quick.

Ive been using reusable bags for years, never had a problem. They work great.

Ive had enough plastic bags break on me to make them a nuisance for most items

Plastic bags are either reusable or not good enough to use once.

Are you saying letting people who want to ban plastic bags dictate law is inherently any less crazy?

I don’t understand the outrage over losing plastic bags. I gave up on them a few years before the were outlawed in my town. As to getting salmonella from non plastic bag, it’s really simple. I have cloth bags I use for meat. When I get home they go in the laundry.

Neville, nobody lets. They are running an authoritarian state, and any individual who tries to fight them would just end up wasting their resources and losing the fight.

ZDad: I mentioned shopping being done by foot, specifically on the spur of the moment, then it’s impractical. It’s not such a big deal to stash a few bag in your car. No one wants to lug empty bags around all day so that they can perhaps drop in for groceries on their way home from work, presumably first using mass transit. I’m not saying you shouldn’t use reusable bags if they work for you, and perhaps the paper bags can be sturdy as well. But to legislate it, is a whole different story.

And it’s kind of ironic when NYC is trying to limit the cars on the road (Midtown Manhattan is just the beginning, these laws work like Pharaoh’s did) with crazy tolls passed in the same budget. Reusable bags are not really compatible with the very mindset NYC is trying to cultivate. Unless buying a new bag or three every time one does grocery shopping is considered environmentally friendly…

And if more than one family member might do the shopping at any given time, on the way home from school etc., having bags on hand for everyone becomes more than just a small inconvenience.

People??? What happened to boxes? When driving you could box everything also they’re much easier to carry!

You folks are going on logic. I personally use reusables, but here is what happens in a bona fide sanctuary city:
    A) People carry their stuff with no bags. Stacks of stuff.
    B) Supermarkets will have a gimmick giving you a reusable one. Check how many end up in the trash cans.
    C) Malls are fun for people. With all the stickers to bring your own bags. I like hearing big department store clerks tell customers that they don’t offer any bags at all. Especially during “the holidays”.
And of course, yeah, the hospitalizations. And, I do wonder if shoplifting increases at all.

In one of the other cities that did this, I heard it was to decrease trash. The trash surcharges on public bills didn’t go down, as well as no noticeable decrease in trash on the roads, no matter how much they claimed otherwise.
The point of banning plastic bags? For politicians to pretend they’re doing something, while doing nothing at all.

All those laws are meant to “help the environment” (just ask AOC)

More people means more co emissions so toieva marriage and marijuana makes it that there’s less people in the world

Stop it with that, it’s invalid marriage and lobster that should be banned, while marijuana should be legal on the federal level because it’s not really the federal government’s job to regulate it.
