I had a friend I went to yeshiva with who just recently grew payos and a beard. Its funny Bc this friend; me and my friend who moved to the Uws and is now otd used to all be best friends. We all became religious together in yeshiva. It seems like both friends went opposite ways and I’m not that close with my fried.d who grew a beard and payos. Why does yeshiva teach us to go to extremes? I try so hard to stay in the middle. I was shocked when I heard about my friend. It seems fake to me.

Oh, I thought you were going to say it was the same friend. You should tell him to marry the one from the UWS.

All Baalei Teshuva should read “Rediscovering the Lost Self” by Rabbi Dan Tiomkin.

Why would they marry each other of they’re both guys? Do you really think I’d be friends with either one if they were a homosexual??

Unless your friends name is sara devorah, don’t sweat the beard or peyos.

You wouldn’t be friends with someone who has homosexual feelings? That is retarded.

kfb said there’s something wrong with being homosexual; he did not say there’s something wrong with having homosexual feelings.

    Being something entails practicing it.

That may be what kfb meant. That is not what those words mean, however.

I wouldn’t be friends with someone who practices these things just like I wouldn’t be friends with someone who practices beastiality or incest. It’s a perverted life style even though nowadays many of us are afraid to admit that.

Thank you RebRy. It bothers me so much that supposed frum people on this site support what G-d calls an abomination to society!
