Why doesn’t anyone want to do this job?
RY, why don’t you apply two years down the road?
I am not particularly a De Blasio fan — I didn’t vote for him in his first run for mayor — but he has not been an awful mayor. In particular, crime rates are at 75 year lows in part because he appointed good people to run NYPD and got out of the way. His silly run for President is embarrassing, though. But it should be noted that none of the other candidates in either party are stronger supporters of Israel than De Blasio. He should get at least some credit for this.
Charlie, how is being a strong supporter of Israel a qualification for mayor?
Crime rates have been plummeting since Giuliani cleaned up the city. Now that DeBlasio is reversing course they will eventually go back up. Not to mention his fiscal irresponsibility and war against the specialized schools.Charlie: Compared to a great Oheiv Yisroel like The Donald, de Blasio (by comparison only) is virtually an Arabist.
