Getting swiped in the (eye) with the tzitzis from someone elses tallis. OUCH!
By the way what’s the amount of times you have to whip the guy sitting next to you , twice or three times & where is it brought down? 🙂
A stasis ulcer on the ankle (feels like alcohol being poured on an open wound). This OUCH can last for months and even when it heals, it can come back again.

Lately? Standing up (no cartilage in either knee). Even the Orthovisc shots were not as painful as my knee joints have been. And no, it has not helped much yet.

Hearing someone make a nasty remark about African-Americans in general when most of my co-workers (and some of the nicest) fall into that category.
i hated doing finger sticks and would use a 25 gauge or smaller needle and draw a few drops from the cubital vein. much less painful
Speaking of blood, I have given blood probably 30 times in my life. So I’m not afraid of needles. My most recent experience happened in NY Blood Center. The nurse/phlebotomist stuck in the needle and while doing the last parts of the setup she bumped into the “scale thing” that holds the bag. Since the tube was not yet taped to my arm or the chair arm, the needle came out! Out of the corner of my eye I could see that blood was coming out at a decent rate (I wouldn’t dare look at it out of fear of fainting etc.). They cleaned me up quickly and offered to let me go or try again. I opted to try again. Try #2 went well BH. They were very apologetic.

Doc 80- I don’t know how long ago you retired, but nowadays most glucometers accept smaller blood drops and therefore their lancets are able to be smaller. These don’t even hurt.
Speaking of giving blood, I was giving blood to bikur cholim last year, and they had these pill shaped stress balls for you to squeeze.
Some of the first people had convinced them to give them the stress “pill”. But they had stopped giving them after a few hours.
I decided I was getting a “pill”. I went and I got one. It took every bit of haggling and negotiating and begging, but I got one.
I threw it out; what would I do with it anyway?
