Anyone know of a counter/table top portable oven that is large enough to accommodate a couple of normal sized roaster pans (preferably larger than 9×13) at one time? My gas wall oven is dead since erev Shavuos, and I have been unable to find a replacement for it that will fit in the space without major reconstruction.

Meanwhile I have been shlepping back and forth to my daughter to cook by her, which is a pain, to say the least, and she is about to have a baby B”EH, so this is a really awkward time for this kind of problem. Any aitzos? Recommendations for a large convection type oven?I have been doing a lot of stove top cooking of late, but I really need to be able to bake right now.

Oomis, many convection ovens come in sizes to Fit a roaster, even a large cookie sheet.

    Contact your local electronics store.

Thanks. What I am looking for needs to have room for more than one pan (double racks)at a time. I plan to call Drimmers, but I was wondering if anyone here had an aitzah first or recommendation for a specific brand.

oomis1105, I heard that AJ Madison in BP has “hard to find sized” ovens. You might want to try them to see if you can actually replace your wall oven since a counter top oven will probably not be as good.

Thanks, Poster. A good suggestion. I never heard of them before. You would not happent o have a number for them, would you? My desire for a countertop oven, is simply to have something until I find what I really want, so I don’t feel I am shopping under the gun. I cannot go another erev Shabbos without having a working oven in my home. I have been living like a cooking nomad for a month now… 🙁

Oomis, they have a site online. Just Google them. Hope you find what you want. I can sympathize with not being able to cook normally in your own home. Fortunately you do have a daughter. Everything with her should go keshura besha’ah tova.

Try Town Appliances in Lakewood and ask for Leah. She is very knowledgeable about all appliances. Their number is 800-288-1647 and no taxes from NJ!
