    Shindy,

Would you kindly give directions for this cake….you just listed the ingredients.

I’m a divorced guy who would like to make some good cake (as opposed to the expensive stuff which tastes lousy) for the days my kids are with me.

    Thank You!

yanky55, it probably means to just mix it all together, but don’t count on me. also, there are more recipes written in the pesach cake recipes thread. good luck!

Yes, mix them all up with an electric mixer but I would fold in the chocolate chips at the end with a spoon.

Can’t believe I missed that – NO eggs in a Pesach cake???? Must be the chemical fumes from cleaning for Pesach. Shindy, please advise, as per smh1’s very astute observation.

WHOOPS! Three eggs. How could I forget? Please forgive me, anyone who tried making it without eggs. Bake in a 9×13, delicious!

Shame- I thought this thread was about women who can’t Pesach clean.

I need recipes that can be safely eaten by a toddler with a severe nut and seed allergy.

Also, can anyone with experience with this problem, recommend Pesach food items that are safe for consumption (i.e. prepared cookies, yogurt, ice cream, etc)?

    For yoyo:

    Non-Gebrocks Blondies

    1 cup sugar

    1 cup brown sugar

    1 cup oil

    4 eggs

    3 vanilla sugars or 3 t. vanilla

    1 cup potato starch

    3 t. baking powder

1 bag chocolate chips (you could leave these out if you’re worried about allergies)

Beat everything together except chocolate chips. Stir in chips. Pour into 9×13 greased pan. Bake at 350 for 50-60 min.

We used 1/2 c. applesauce and 1/2 cup oil, to cut the fat, and the chocolate chips fell to the bottom. Still yummy, not as pretty.

    Enjoy!!

Do you want an amazing chocolate cake, non-gebrockts?

    to oomis:

Yogurt should be ok, check the label. Most prepared foods have the allergy alert, so it’s safest to make your own if possible. Probably healthier, too! It’s very hard – my relative has 2 VERY allergic kids, so I know what it’s like.
