gmab: I think slaughterhouses are free of tzaar baalei chaim. Can you bring some proof against that?

    #624745

    “You wouldn’t understand anyways.”

Joseph, don’t make a statement if you aren’t prepared to explain/defend it.

GMAB and Feif Un, have either of you ever personally been to a slaughterhouse and witnessed the animals’ living conditions there as well as the shechita?

“Joseph, don’t make a statement if you aren’t prepared to explain/defend it.”

I explained it in quite detail in the other thread we discussed this in:

    Mostly conjecture, actually.

    You STILL didn’t answer me.

    Joseph,

This is the second time in the past couple of days that you have made a radical statement and have been unable or not willing to discuss it with peopole who disagree with you

if you cannot prove that the things you are saying are true then please have the common decencey to not be condecending to the peopole who disagree with you (“you wouldnt understand anyways”)

    Feif un,

i have been to a kosher slaughterhouse with a very prominent and good hashgacha and the way the animals are kept and treated is definitly tzar ballai chaim (they are kept in overcrowded pens up to there ankels in excrement outside the slaughter house and are constantly being prodded with elecric prods when they were being unloaded off the truck some of them were pushed out so hard that they literaly tumbled into the pens on there sides)

    646,

Apparently Judaism comes across as radical to you. But nevertheless, like I said above with the link, I responded in the other thread.

    #624751

    Joseph:

I read your answer in the link you provided. It made little sense, and you just made statements without explaining WHY.

    000646:

I assumed something of the sort.

    #624752

    Joseph:

000646 said NOTHING that implied such. S/he said that your STATEMENT was radical, which it certainly as.

GMAB: See the “P.S.” in the other link, and respond there if you feel necessary. I won’t try discussing it in two seperate threads.

    Joseph:

    You STILL didn’t explain WHY.

Talk about it in the other thread.

    Joseph:

Yes, you’re right. This thread is about treating non-human animals righteously and kindly.

    Joseph,

you did not explain anything in the other thread you just wrote what you said here in a longer fashion

however i will be dan you lkaf zchus that you will explain yourself in the other thread as you said you will

you have also said that you can easily and succesfully debunk both evolution and manmade global warming and have thus far refused to discuss it.

    #624758

    Joseph:

I too am waiting for you to debunk the so far reliable theory of evolution.

    646,

Go to the appropriate thread, provide whatever SPECIFIC PROOF you have of either evolution or manmade global warming, that you wish refuted. I will no longer discuss the same issue repeatedly on three different threads. Talk about it in its original venue.

he did say why, because the Gedolim said so

    heres another why:

we all said naaseh v nishmah

why did we need to say nishmah (we will hear what You want us to do)

obviously we cant do unless we first hear what to do, nishmah is logically implied completely by naaseh

it means we will hear from You what to do, and we will do it even if we dont understand it.

we will hear from You, who told it to Moshe, then to the elders, etc from father to son, from Rebbi to Talmid. not from our own understanding alone.

if You tell us, from this Mesorah, as explained by the poskim who have received and given over the Mesorah, that we may not drive on Shabbos, then we may not drive on Shabbos, even though it seems to us to be okay in order to allow Yidden to go to Shul on Shabbos, even if it seems to be imperative to us in order to preserve the Jewish People. nevertheless we will do only what You tell us is permitted and not follow our crippled, blinded logic.

this has always been the way of the Jewish people, until refarm raised its cancerous head a couple of hundred years ago in order that we should be like the goyim, not a unique beloved people of Hashem, hated by the nations.

the conservitive, reacting to this evil, perpetrated the same blind mistake, albeit for more benign reasons.

they are all outside the Mesorah, they have nothing to do with the life and purpose of Hashem’s people

Thought some of you may enjoy this, especially if you recognize it… 😉

“Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.”

“But, Dad, don’t we eat the antelope?”

“Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connnected in the great Circle of Life.”

    yoshi:

Yes, that’s from the Lion King, which just so happens to be my favorite film, even though it’s a cartoon. It’s a moving and poignant dialogue.

    Joseph:

Jeez, that’s an awful nice thing to say. But don’t worry, because I took it as follows:

“Give Me a Break: If you were the only man I ever met, I too would have seen the wondrous truth known as Evolution.”

    Is that what you meant?

    Joseph,

I have posted some proofs to evolution in the the thread were we were discussing it (the hoax of global warming) it please debunk them if you can.

    Feivel,

if you only accept rabbis whos opinions already agree with your ideas of yiddishkeit and say that all the rest arnt jewish you arnt really giving a reason for having the outlook on yiddishkeit that you do have
