I am in the market for a new mp3 or mp4. I think the iPod Touch is a good one. Does anyone have it? Do you like the touch part? I also see a lot of people with ones by a company called Zen or Creative. There are just so many to choose from.

I remember there was a lot of help on a previous topic to recommend a good laptop so I’m hoping it will work for this too.

    Thanks.

azi- all depends on what you want in an mp3/4 player. Whats important to you? Browsing? Videos? Music? Recording?

Doesn’t the full touch screen phones break much faster? Is it difficult to type fast on them?

Sounds cool! Maybe we get that for our mods instead of good old blackberry’s!

I’ve had the iPod Touch for almost a year now, and I absolutely love it. It only has 8 GB of storage space, but that’s perfect for me- I only use just over half of that anyway. The touchscreen is really convenient and easy to use. Internet access is good for a quick check of e-mail or the like, but I don’t use it for regular surfing because it’s just too annoying with the small screen. You have to double-click on the portion of the webpage you want to read, then it enlarges, but if you want to find something else, you zoom out and then zoom back in on what you want. It would drive me crazy if I used it for more than two minutes at a time. Another “extra” of the iPod Touch are the applications you can add, some free and some for $9.99. I have a bunch of free apps plus one paid app, 2 Across, which is a database of crossword puzzles. I love filling out the puzzles on the little screen. It was a lifesaver while I was in Israel because it meant I always had something to do on long bus rides. I also find that my iPod Touch has much better battery life than my old iPod nano. That’s all I can think of at the moment, but if you have specific questions feel free to ask.

I actually just bought a cheap case for my iPod yesterday; I didn’t have one before and I accidentally dropped it, so now it has a crack in the screen 🙁 My fault.
