    1. Either way unless it’s after Plag Hamincha and you’re concerned with R’ Akiva Eiger’s Psak.

    Dash-

    HUH?!

OK, dont even start explaining. I am feeling very ignorant right now.

dash is refering to the concern that according to R’ Akiva Eiger, saying “good Shabbos” might be being mikabel shabbos, so if you say this on friday afternoon at a time where it is possible to accept shabbos, then it might, according to this one opinion, be a problem. (although I do know people careful about this)

I would say Amein and you, too (or Gam aht or ahtem).

I just say have a good Shabbos.

DASH: Couldn’t saying “have a good Shabbos”- as in, in the future- alleviate that problem? (FTR that’s my vote and what I usually say.)

And a “tizku lemitzvos” usually gets back a “thanks, and you too!” by me.

if the mazal tov is for you then a girl should answer brucha tehai and a man would answer boruch tihiye.

Actually, whatever your gender, you should answer “brucha tehai”

TO a female and “boruch tihyeh” TO a male.(Yes, I know. Probably.)

HERE IS ONE: WHATS THE MEANING OF THE BLESSING ON THE MOON ? (AND DONT SAY BECAUSE g-D SAID SO ,BECAUSE IM ASKING WHY DID G-D SAY SO?)

SECOND QUESTION: WHY IS IT THAT I BELIEVE THAT MONEY SOLVES ALL PROBLEMS ,WHEN I INTELLECTUALLY UNDERSTAND THAT ITS FALSE?

I say, Amein, gam ahta (aht ahtem, ahten, whichever is grammatically appropriate.

“HERE IS ONE: WHATS THE MEANING OF THE BLESSING ON THE MOON ? (AND DONT SAY BECAUSE g-D SAID SO ,BECAUSE IM ASKING WHY DID G-D SAY SO?) “

I wouldn’t venture to second-guess Hashem, but the moon was created and serves as the Maor Hakatan, it has a strong gravitational pull on the ocean, which affects the tides, and there is a ripple effect.

SECOND QUESTION: WHY IS IT THAT I BELIEVE THAT MONEY SOLVES ALL PROBLEMS ,WHEN I INTELLECTUALLY UNDERSTAND THAT ITS FALSE? “

probably you believe this because quite frankly, having a sufficient amount of it DOES solve many problems, even as it creates others.

Here is a third question – WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING BY WRITING ALL IN CAPS?

DEAR BEST BUBBY I AM TO LAZY TO TAKE OFF CAPS LOCKS LOL,but just for you i will lol 🙂 but on serious note can you elaborate on the first answer i still don’t PROPRIETARY TO THE MOON EVERY CREATION IN THIS WORL IS NECESSARY FOR THE WORLD TO FUNCTION! (WHY DONT WE PRAY TO THE STARS, AND YES I KNOW THE SUN IS A STAR,IM TALKING ABOUT THE OTHER ONES )

    #1034258

    Rockout.

We do not chalila pray TO the moon, stars, sun (or any other entity, being, creation etc.) We bless and thank HaShem FOR it.

Why? A simple translation of this most special blessing will suffice. Pick up an ArtScroll and read.

RebYidd23, please pay more attention the next time you say the Birchos haShachar.

Rockout: You keep using that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means. (I’ve always wanted to say that!)

Thanks for taking off the caps (at least part of the time). We don’t pray to the moon, we pray to Hashem who is Mechadeish the phases of the moon. Aside from the relation of the moon to the tides, the moon also is the guide by which we know Rosh Chodesh and the yomim tovim. And though everything in creation is necessary for the functioning of the world, we have specific things for which we thank Hashem at specific times. We say for example, Bircas haChamah on the sun, when it is in the exact spot and time of the day it was set in Shamayim during Sheishes Yemai Breishis. We say brachos on the first flowering trees of the season. we have brachos for everything in the world, even going to the bathroom because we take these mundane things and elevate them to a level of kedusha, by recognizing that Hashem Created the olam so intricately as to work in harmony. If you have any other questions, I suggest you go to Aish HaTorah. Seriously.

Oomis, I know you didn’t see The Best Bubby for 38 years, but you should really know by now – some people on the Internet, and even the Coffee Room, don’t really mean what they say – they’re just doing it for the reactions.

I think It was really nice of oomis to answer rockout. Even if he was trolling, she’ll still get the zechusim for spending time to answer Kiruv questions.

Sorry, Letakein, but I don’t agree. Answering trolls in a way that indicates that you took them at face value gives them pleasure and encourages them to keep trolling – that is, annoying people and wasting their time. In this case, though, I don’t think Rockout’s around anymore to notice the response. (I would’ve thought Oomis could spot a troll – she’s been on the CR for 6 years…)

Rando, your post to oomis did not totally make sense. Must’ve been some typos or autospells in there that made it gibberish. And what’s wrong with answering a question, as beautifully as oomis did, even if the question did come from a troll??

    ++1 to your post, oomis.

(Did you ever consider working for Aish? Seriously.)

Gol, if one person didn’t see another one for 38 years, what does that tell you about that person and the Internet?
