When it says “send in 4 recent passport photos” can you take a photo of yourself and print it 4 times? or does it mean 4 different photos?
This is actually part of the entrance exam. I won’t cheat and tell you. 😉
DY: Asking on the CR isn’t cheating.
It means copies.
If they need 4, you should not give them your SS# so as to limit your susceptibility to identity theft.

I remember those that were busy going to get the pics done in a place…
just take your own close up and trim it to the size of a passport photo.

4 of the same pic… they staple it to differnt forms of yours and give to to different staff members to look at.
I got my pics done in a place…
It was about $12 and it cost about another 25 cents for extra copies. As a bonus, when I updated my passport, I just gave in one of those pictures, so that was handy.
Although… it just hit me that people are going to be judging how I look my my appearance in that pic. Eeeuurgh…
It is four of the same pic, though. I know that Michlalah said only official passport photos and not digital photos, but for all I know if you do it right they may not even be able to tell.
Asking for pictures is sick. Seminaries ask for pictures because they want to have a good ratio of girls getting married soon after seminary, so they pick the prettiest girls. I personally know that they often sell the folder of pictures to shadchanim and prominent politicians like Mitt Romney.
Think about it. They ask for a picture from the side also? What, to make sure you are really thin and not just hiding behind a pillar?

The reason they ask for pictures is to be able to better identify that girl once on campus, staff and faculty have an easier time.
the sem uses the pics to give out to staff to know your name before you come. They may use it for seating charts etc, give in a current picture one you want the sem to hve on file. I think!

Hello, my name is hunger games fan, I went to preschool, elementary and high school. I went to camp in the summer. I do chesed. I won’t be the dumbest girl in seminary. I’m normal and daven and learn and don’t cause trouble. Please accept me in your seminary.
if you dont know your own biography, you are probably not someone they want in their seminary. learn it quick.
