the 45 min speech the rav of leiby zatzel’s shul gave yesterday was unreal

he made 15 thousand people cry at once while comforting the family and telling us what we can do better

is there anyway they can translate the speech and post it?

o, and I second the request for a translation if possible?

    Thanks

Translate?? The emotion? The depth? Impossible!!!

Horv Reb Binyomin Shlita speaks in English to his Ezras Nahim as well as to a Chabura in Cedarhurst. Call 917 885 1953 & check if there is anything planned in English.

    Disclaimer!

I am a neighbor and occasional drop in,

so I am not aware of any need or plans

It’s a very powerful and moving eulogy and statement of real religious belief. I especially liked his call for increased internecine unity. At a time like this, such messages are very powerful.

ayc If one wants to avoid writing what may look like a Shem why would he write it the way you suggested

HoRav R’ Binyomin will speak to the Ezras Nashim via teleconference @ 6 pm before shabbos no details yet . There will most probably be a recording available at the tape library in his bh”m next week

Call 917 885 1953 (the tel # on a 2 year old disc) & check if there is a recording available of Horav Eiseberger’s Shmooze in English to the Ezras Nashim

If you are familiar with the area, the owner (Avrumi) of the fruit store closest to Heichal Hatefila is Talmid of Horav Eiseberger. He is a nice guy and may be willing to help you.

Rav Eisenberger is a Talmid of Rav Kopelman Z”tzl. After 4 years in Luzern he went to Mir Yerushlaim. Call his BH”M”s tape librarian at 917 885 1953 for info.

I am a neighbor & occasional dropper in to his shiurim. The rav-talmid relationship there is phenomenal. It is hard to describe, big brother is the closest I can come.

R’ Binyomin is a prime specimen of what R’ Shraga Feivel wanted to produce,(the temimus of the Hungarian Jew, the fire of a Chasid and the Lomdus of a Litvak if I remember correctly) An amalgam of everything beautiful in a Ben Torah.

On his father’s side he is a descendant of the last pre-Churaban Rav of Debrecen,Hungary Rav Shlomo Zvi Strasser Z”tzl a descendant of the ??? ???? (Rav Moshe Stern Z'Tzl was a grandson-in-law of Rav Strasser and served as a Dayan and was elected as rav after the Churban)His mother is a daughter of R’ Yitchok Donath A”H (Twice Buried, Still alive)As a child he grew up in Chsan Sofer. He learned in Luzern Switzerland under Rav Kopelman Z”tzl, and then in Mir Yerushlaim

No- not where he learned. where his parents were born, or where he gets his yiddish from.
