i just signed up to yeshiva world recently its been interesting because everyone has such distinct personalities.
I just want to say that we got our screen name from our band which iy”h will someday be an actuality. If anyone has any advice on how to get started i would appreciate the info.
Aren’t we lucky? I mean, REALLY lucky? Rabbi Akiva said, “Ashreichem Yisrael!” I just love the Breslov song to that, it gets me going… Hashem CHOSE US from kol umos ha’olam. We are one in a million and just so darn lucky that we have Him as our Creator, Sutainer, Father and King. Now, how much more meaningful is that song?
I must’ve spaced out when I signed up, because I really wanted my sn to be Ashreichem, as an allusion to the song. Ashreinu sounds like some organization or something, though it conveys the same idea.

Oh…I thought it was meant as a reference to “ashreinu mah tov chelkeinu, umah na’im goraleinu, umah yafah yerushateinu” (by the way, D’veykus IV does a great rendition of that!)
JF – Indirectly, I guess it references that idea. Though, whenever I see the sn, I think Ashreichem.

BTW, Brooklyn19, glad you picked up on my joke, LOL. But seriously, I don’t like the idea that so many people in Brooklyn think that they are IT in terms of frumkeit and the rest of us are krum. Sure we have rabbis! Rabbi Joseph, Rabbi squeak, Rabbi charlie, Rabbi darwin, Rabbi asdfghjkl, Rabbi noitallmr… this whole site is full of ’em! never mind the poskim – which are the editor, and mods 1 – 99 (don’t worry there are only about 4 of them within those numbers! not too much pressure!)
