What is with these shuls? I don’t get it. Even the people who daven in the shul don’t say it! They just stand around talking while the poor chazzan has to say it. Probably even the chazzan doesn’t say it.
I just leave.

Popa, how many times did you say shmona esrei tonight?
My shul only says it in the winter.
Assuming what The Wolf said, there’s a very good reason to say it — it’s a segulah for parnassa. I’m annoyed by shuls (like my usual place) that don’t say it. I say most of it while the rav is completing his long shemona esrei, and the rest before I leave shul.
