    Shushan, NY is near Vermont? I though it was on Long Island? The post office might call it Great Neck but we know better!

    A Heimishe Mom: LOL!!! I’m Ashkenazi and I go to Great Neck a lot– if you say Gut Shabbos they will look at you as if you’re OUT OF YOUR MIND!!! (At least in my uncle’s neighborhood.) It’s Shabbat Shalom. And half the people I know from that area either speak Farsi or their parents speak it.
