Insaw another of those expensive full.page ads promising to pray for your health and wealth if you send them a sizable donation.
It occurred to me that if they could really deliver on that promise, why not skip the ad and pray for their own organization?
They aren’t saying you shouldn’t do your hishtadlus, and they are doing theirs.
They are praying for their organization’s wealth and (along with the ads) it is working. They don’t publish those stories because they want it to continue. A fool and his money are soon parted.
There’s a Kupat Ha’ir and Powerball joke waiting to be made, isn’t there?

give the money to a personal tzedaka straight to Hashem & daven yourself with your heart for help & get help straight from Hashem.
I don’t feel comfortable giving to those organizations because their brochures are printed on expensive glossy paper.
I received a call from my sister on nitel. she called to let me know that if I donate to her cause she will play chess for me. 🙂
