I am looking for a two-three day getaway for men. hiking, camping or something outdoors. any ideas?
Travel overseas to Europe with a men’s touring group of kevorim and other famous Jewish sites from our European recent Jewish history of our parents and grandparents.
Really depends on where you are located, how much you want to spend and the physical skills and risk profile of the participants. There are some great hiking areas with affordable lodging in Adirondack State Park in upstate New York within a few hours of the city if you are in the NY metropolitan area. Similar opportunities a bit further away in New England. Pennsylvania has a number of 2-3 day planning biking trails where you can avoid major highways. If you have never tried kayaking, some great opportunities in the Barrier Island area of the Carolinas, a 2-hour flight from NYC. Again, very dependent on the factors noted above, location, budget and skills level.
Depends also on the role tefillah betzibur will play on this trip.
Tefila can’t be merely “preferable”; it needs to be your first core requirement.
Are you looking to go with a previously unknown group or you’re looking to go with a group of friends you already have in mind? How will the spouse/children cope in your absence?
Don’t know when and where you are looking to go but there a number of frum travelling camps all around the country. See if you can find out their itinerary and if you can join them for minyan.
How is going to Europe a vacation?

Great, here’s some for you!
You use YWN as a bully-pulpit to criticize and divide Jews whom you’ve never met. You waste way too much time on the web and don’t learn nearly enough, then you pretend to be a great posek as you spout fake halacha. You have a violent streak and become most animated at the thought of women and children being subjected to physical abuse. The mods have stated that you are a “confirmed 100% real life stalker, who has stalked many people through YWN”.
I think you have enough right there to start doing teshuva but it would be most effective if you got back on your meds first.

DY: I didn’t say to that (or any) point that “I didn’t hear mussar”, as fb said following the mussar on his dismissiveness towards tefila b’tzibbur.

Sima: We are starting a separate thread similar to the nightly D’var Torah Thread entitled: “Daily Musar for Joey” where CR participants can offer their thoughts as to how our resident baal musar can improve his own daily life in matters of gashmius, ruchniyus and trolling skills.
Funnybone: If indeed you are looking to combine your outdoor adventure with your chavrusha but do so w/o compromising any of the edicts of the CR poskim, why not consider hiking the perimeter of the all the eruvim in BP and Willy, pitch your tents across the street from the Chabad shul in Park Slope in beautiful Prospect Park and use the older broken shetenders form nearby shuls for your campfire. You will be in close proximity to davening, mikvah, markets with good chaddieshe hashgacha etc. And for any bird afficiiandos in your group, there also have been unconfirmed sightings of the Joeybird in the trees in the park nearby. It can be readily identified with its bland plumage, hanging upside on a tree limb and repeated chirpings of “gevalt, gevalt, gevalt”!!
Dachtzach mir, this conversation, and others similar, are precisely what funnybone wants to take a vacation from (note that a preposition is something you shouldn’t end a sentence with). Also, the idea of Joseph giving mussar to anyone would be risible if it wasn’t so pathetic.
