My freezer is full of challa. I made 5 lbs a few weeks ago but ended up going away for shabbos, a lot more than I thought I would.

Besides for garlic bread and croutons, how can I put them to good use?

Use it for the ten pieces. C’mon, give your husband a break, it’ll be much easier searching for ten challos than ten microscopic pieces.

Go to Central Park near 5th Avenue & 60th Street entrance, and ho fed the bread to the swans & ducks:- This is a real Kiyum of “VeRachamov Al Kol Ma’asov”.

You shall not receive 1 complaint from neither the swan nor duck about how stale [nor freezer fumed] the bread is, and yet they will heartily enjoy it.

Many people would appreciate homemade challah for Shabbos Hagodol as they don’t have a chance to bake any. If you get the word out to friends, family and neighbors I’m sure they’ll be gone pretty soon.

Or call your local “Shabbos package” organization, or perhaps a Bikkur Cholim.

Maybe I’m selfish, but I wouldn’t want my perfectly good, slaved over challos to go to the birds…

    french toast?

We had a good breakfast this morning 🙂

Goq – Never saw such a thing.

LF – Nah, I’ll let him hunt for it. I need some entertainment after all this cleaning. (Husband’s minhag is not to sell any chometz)
