I used to think s/he was a grandfather. Then a bochur. Then a bubby. Now, s/he just wrote about being rejected at BJJ. So, what are you???? Girl, boy, zeidy, bubby, or just a plain drunkard;)???

Chayav probably does it because maybe s/he gets irked by people trying to figure out what s/he is. Besides, hasn’t this topic gone on long enough, been spread over enough threads, and defeat the purpose of the coffee room? (At the beginning it may have been fun/ny, amusing, or whatnot but now the whole topic is starting to irk me can we just leave chayav alone to his/her postings?)

smartcookie- once again I agree with you. When he is himself (I think 17-19 boy) he is pleasant and silly. But that bubby thing irks me and I don’t know why either. Chayav, would you consider just being yourself with us? Please?
I vote for the family theory. Or, perhaps s/he is a professional writer who likes to keep in practice of creating characters by posting as people of different ages?
I think it’s a 15-16 yr old boy who has a bunch of teenaged sisters, lives with his grandparents,and has older brothers who are bochurim, and he has a drunk frequent his corner…:)

i think chayav either needs attention or just thinks s/he is being cute. whatever it is – if we keep playing into this, it will just continue. i don’t find it as annoying as some others do. what i do find annoying is that everyone keeps talking about it. if it bothers u, just ignore him/her.
the one thing, though, that i do think was wrong – was the post about the bjj seminary letter. that could really have worried a lot of girls.
as far as the theory that many members of the same family are using that name, then they should identify themselves in their post. Ex: this is chayav’s sister or brother or bubby etc.
But his Bubby playing is so fake. I think that’s what bothers me. I absolutely HATE corny jokes.
He’s definitely getting his attention though!

i thinh he’s probably a bored bachur in yeshiva!! and for those of you who said no one would only apply to bjj… you are so wrong! now they encourage you, if that is the one and only place you want to go and you feel fine if you end up staying home- then dont apply to anywhere else! ur taking someonelse’s spot! but bjj def didnt come out yet- so he is def a bored boy making fun of teenage girls! which is sooo obvi cuz he spelled seminary wrong and any girl old or young knows how to spell it!!
