I saw threads that bash other yidden (a favourite target id Chabad, but any other frum yid is fair game), and it bothered me.

I posted harshly to some, but the yetzer hara of bashing other yidden is too much fun for everyone to give up. I needed a method that would change the conversation, open new threads that were outrageous, funny, interesting, challenging and quirky – and let the topics bashing of other yidden die on its own.

Magicians create “magic” by misdirection. It is is a form of deception in which the performer draws audience attention to one thing to distract it from another.

I was not trolling just to get a reaction. I was drawing fire so that I can be the “target”, bash me instead of bashing of other yidden stop.

I created a few threads that were funny, entertaining and really wacky. I was waving these threads like a matador waving a red cape to entice the bull to charge at him. and the bulls charged. Some of you saw red. Even a few mods did too, but other mods saw it for what it was: a challenge to get the bulls to charge at me, and leave other frum yidden alone while engaging in unusual Torah topics.

I think it worked…and if so my job is done.

Thank you mods, thank you friends and foes. If I caused anyone to get a coranary or bust a vein in their forhead, I ask mechila – but you deserved it and you need to chill a bit

And my sefer – that was a joke, I have a weird sense of humour, but the Torah that was discussed in real and a zchus for YW to get us a cabal of moshev leitzim, to focus on halacha and yiddishkeit – kol hakavod..

Have a Chag Kosher V’sameach, and don’t worry about eating eggs with cheese – eggs aren’t fleishig (they are only aiver min ha’chai).

Some mods won’t allow this, others will. Like many things: it’s a machlokes haposkim.

“Some mods won’t allow this, others will. Like many things: it’s a machlokes haposkim.”

It’s gotten to be seemingly arbitrary lately. Those of us who maintain intentionally divisive accounts play roulette with every post. About 50% or more of my posts get mod’d out lately (ever since Purim) regardless of their content. I seem to be blocked from commenting on the homepage altogether.

I believe some mods would like to block my account altogether, but others would not. So, depending on who’s shift it is, I might not get through at all. But, we’ll never know because this will probably get blocked. I think it’s the morning shift guys that hate me. I wish they would just go ahead and confirm that so that I can stop wasting my time typing.

I believe most of your origin story as presented here, RGP, but I still suspect there’s more to it. It looked to me more like you came in as a Chabad-party-line purest at first and then changed course to throw us off the scent.

We’re not blocking you on purpose. You must’ve done something to upset the automatic spam filter – all of your posts are going to spam. Sorry for the inconvenience. We’re working on it.

    Rebbitzen Goldenpickanicerscreenname,

If you wanted to play-act the Chofetz Chaim in the wagon, you should’ve killed horses, not halachos.

Of all your silly trolliy posts this was the worst

I’ll be honest, I enjoyed the others while your comments were obviosuly silly, they still made me stop and think .

but this self righteous defense of being mean to stop the bashing of others is just annoying trolling

    #1713978

…and I was certain you are a Chabadsker, while pretending to be non-Chabad, yet quoting Baal Hatanya…you know what? We are all frum yidden, and that is what matters.

I noticed on the thread “Why do we seclude ourselves from the world around us?” that someone was trying to fan the flame of pirud by baiting sefardi vs Ashkenazi, which has no shaychus to the thread, but simply to hurt feelings and create pirud among yidden. That is so wrong! THAT is trolling and should be blocked, but the poskim among the mods allow it. Why? I don’t know.

People love to take pot shots at chassidim vs misnagdim, sefard vs ashkenaz, FFB vs BT, Zionist vs Satmar, Telz vs BMG vs Chaim Berlin vs Mir vs Brisk. It is hurtful when they also mock the Rebbes. Rosh Yeshivos, Leaders etc.

Not sure where you got the idea that some mods saw what you claim. None did. However they did indeed see it for what it really was.

    #1714013

HowI got the idea? Nevuah. Now you know (but don’t tell anyone).

agreed. besides the fact that this style was already in place years ago, the idea of berating and mocking people in order to get them to stop doing exactly that is bizarre.

” but the yetzer hara of bashing other yidden is too much fun for everyone to give up”

this is the best line yet – where you are almost able to be honest with yourself….. but then ….

Syag, there were a few threads with topics that were openly bashing – they died , Can’t argue with success. Yes, a few years ago I did the same. But now that my work is done, I will fade away (once I wrap things up and pack my bags) till my heroics are required once again at a later date (כי עוד חזון למועד (חבקוק ב ג

But, see, if I were a Lubavitcher, I would not have said what I said about the Rebbe and the modern day Chassidus; no Lubavitcher would do that even as a joke. Nor would any Litvak defend the slander of our gedolim even while in the process of an elaborate prank/joke. That was where you ruined your chances of convincing anyone you were a yeshivish person trolling for peace.

Anyway, I’m fascinated by this thread, but I don’t want to post too much. Sounds like a pain if the mods have to keep checking the spam folder just because of me. Sorry my mind immediately assumed there was a massive YWN conspiracy against me, guys.

This Person is certifiably deranged, and a nasty troublemaker. She/He/It should be permanently blocked. Attitudes and writing styles don’t change much, if the SN changes you can still spot this wacko.

    #1714289

hml – and pray tell us, what is your training and qualifications to make such a diagnosis? Is it the skilful ability to type out a comment? Have you examined “this person” to decide “m’pi’hem v’lo mi’pi ksovom” (from their mouths and not from their writings)?!

I did not see you complaining when posters wrote disrespectfully about the Satmar, Lubavitcher and Litvish Gedolim ZT”L (or Rav Shechter SHLITA).

Did you call those posters “nasty troublemakers”? Did you request that those posters be blocked?

    A “bit” of a double-standard, don’t you think?

“If I caused anyone to get a coranary or bust a vein in their forhead, I ask mechila – but you deserved it ”

This is probably the most serious of all the halachos you have ridiculed. As someone else mentiones it just proves that you are willing to forgo Hashem’s “agenda” for your own. You may be surprised to discover that halacha does not agree with your version of heroism.

    #1714432

One does not need to ask mechila from sefl inflected victims. .

    #1714443

Syag, if you did something legitimately and al pi halacha, like park your car in an open spot, but, as you finish parking some guy comes around and is frustrated that you got the spot that he gets out of his car and smashes his head into the sidewalk (yep, happened that way), would you be doing anything wrong by asking him mechila for somehow being part of his frustrations but then telling him that he caused himself his cracked head by smashing it in the sidewalk, and whatever pain and suffering arising from it was self-inflicted and nothing to do with you (as in “ידינו לא שפכו את הדם הזה” which is what the Ziknei HaIr say by Egla Arufa as atonement – a mechila of sorts, while saying it’s not our fault)?

Is that “ridiculing” halacha or “forgoing Hashem’s agenda”?!
