I know some of you probably think he’ll make the greatest president in history but that speech he gave was positively weird.

Some of the wackier things he said are, “They’re not sending us their best people”.. “I’m gonna build a wall and make them pay got it” Does he think the Mexican government actually sends people over? The part about the wall thats just downright childish ( when I’ll be big….). He’s obviously a guy with more money than sense so my question is, is he for real will anyone seriously consider voting this man?

The people that illegally sneak over the border are people who are more likely to do crimes once here. They already broke the law by illegally breaking into the country, showing their propensity to engage in illegal acts. And statistics do show that once here, the illegal aliens are far more likely to be criminals (meaning additional crimes than illegally entering the country) than immigrants who immigrate legally as well as American citizens.

Trump spoke the truth too loud so the left went wild.

He may have made some valid arguments but the fact that he talked about them sending over their worst people not their best*, shows that he sees the world in a very childish way, so can we take him seriously?

I think this is the first time I agree with the left, the guy is nuts.

*Not to mention some of the other truly ridiculous things he said.

It’s fair to say criminals are from the worst people.

Yes but the Mexicans are not SENDING us their people these people are coming across in hopes of a better life. “They’re sending us their worst people” he repeated this a few times, and when a reporter asked him about the derogatory comments he said it again “I think it’s fair to say they’re not sending us their highest quality people”.

A criminal is a person who gets caught.

I think Trump is a joke. He’s not going to win. People don’t relate to him. He is too used to getting his own way.

    1) it was stupid because it’s not just Mexico, it’s all the south americain countries

    2) i work with mexicains, and they are somewhat here illegally and they’re nice people that just want to earn a living like normal americains (this goes along with all other south americain countries)

Of course he wont win but the media will play him up to put R’s in a bad light. (As usual)

They do have programs in Mex and in USA, believe it or not’ that give instructions for illegals coming here. (Look it up, I think thats part of what ‘sending them here’ means.)

Also their ‘best’ are doing relatively well and are not swimming the Rio Grande in middle of the night to come here. So I would prob have to agree their ‘worst’ are overwhelmingly the ones that are coming.

I’m not convinced Trump is a good choice for America, but his statement on immigration is spot on. “Sending over” is just a figure of speech. I am sure he doesn’t actually believe that the Mexican government is conspiring to exile all criminals to the US, and I don’t think anyone suspects that he believes that. If you want to discredit him, I would worry more about conflict of interest in saying that Trump Inc. can, in the future, rebuild American infrastructure better than anyone else.

Trump isn’t running to win. He has no interest in being president or running a full election campaign. He’s doing this to add support to what he deems important and, if he gets enough popularity, to possibly help decide who will be the Republican nominee based on who he endorses. He has no chance of winning and he knows it. That’s not why he’s doing this.

Trump may feel there is a big audience of nativists he can appeal to but within the Republican party, there are a lot more religious conservatives (who find his remarks offensive and look at “wetbacks” and see socially conservative, hard working, pious family oriented people), not to mention a lot of “Wall Street” (“country club”) Republicans who love Hispanic immigration in the hope it will lower wages. The “red meat” faction is nativist, racist and is ignoring the “tea party” issues of public finance and the role of the government

A big chunk of 21st century Republicanism are those who see the Republicans as the party of giving people the opportunity to advance themselves, as opposed to the Democrat’s who want to be the party that gives you a good welfare state and takes care of you regardless of whether you want to be taken care – and immigrants including illegal ones are in the “land of opportunity” rather than the “welfare state” side of things.

Trump has lots of money, but isn’t likely to get many votes. Though he does make the other candidates look better.

He made promises that are either impossible to carry out or extremely dumb, like the proposed 40% on US goods made in Mexico, which happens to be illegal or building a wall and making them pay for it which is just silly and it all seemed like a good laugh but then we saw his ratings soar, which begs the question haven’t we learnt anything from Barack Obama? Will we be blinded by another guy promising overly simple solutions to not so simple problems, or do the polls not really reflect reality?

I saw a video on Trump that highlighted his “wacko” statements. When you listen to what he is saying, he wasn’t necessarily wrong, but wasn’t politically correct. He could have been much more diplomatic.

Trump is an ego-maniac and loves the attention. He’s like a “shock jock.” His policies are mostly reasonable below all the bluster, but he is certainly not Presidential.

On the other hand, the term “Presidential” has been turned on its head anyway. Bottom line, besides who cares, is he can’t be worse than you have now. He has about a snowballs chance in …. of winning.

I think this whole Russia collusion thing is made up by Struck & Mueller & 12 angry men to discredit the President! The proof is Struck’s emails. It’s time to get on the Offense, instead of the defense.
