Just curious as to what the going rate is for a lulav and esrog in NY?
Starting at $35/set.
On the streets (Ave J & BP) they usually range from $25-40 today & erev can be as low as $10! In wholesale stores they range from $35-75. In esrogim stores (straight from Israel etc) range from $75-til no end ($300)lol! Hatzlacha & gut yom tov!
I would say the range is between $40 and $150.
Between $10 and $300 for a set, and everything in between. Depending on what and where.
(It’s kind of like asking the going rate for a diamond on 47th Street.)
They look at your face and get as much as they can figure you can be taken for a ride.

someone asked me what is the esrog really worth…
I replied, whatever you pay for it, that becomes the value of it (the mitzvah is worth more if you pay more for it – so paying $5 a set the last minute is not recommended)
The Esrog’s mehudar worth is based upon defined halachic mehudardik attributes of the Esrog. Not what you pay for it. An Esrog bought for $10 could be worth far more than one paid $50 for.
With such poverty rates and so many people struggling, better spend less on a estrog and more on such things as food.
2 and half days before Yuntif and I see $10 and $20/sets for sale.
