blinky, agreed. I think there needs to be free ice cream for people who post more than a certain amount of times (and show their devotion to ice cream).

After I passed my driving test (thanks to you guys-check the driving tips thread :)), a family member went to the ice cream store and ordered an ice cream and strawberry sorbet car! It was so cooool! (excuse the pun) It looked real to the last detail-tires, windsheild wiper….I thought it was a very cute idea.

chocolate mint chip. yummy! i have a neighbor that prepares homemade parve ice cream. the favorite in the neighborhood is peanut butter and jelly. not joking!

    #1194443

i believe we have a winner chocolate mint chip. i think it was mentioned thrice at least.

as far as the worst flavor i dont think anyone can compete with dead skunk delight.

dead skunk delight – that’s like an oxymoron! Just the sound of it makes me disgusted.

Is it an American thing to have ice cream?

I also vote for Mint Chololate Chip! But Vanilla is a close second.

Chazal said, “There is no simchah without ice cream.”

Oh, correct that. Chazal did not say that. Ice cream had not been invented yet. (There are, however, records of it being eaten in Gaonic times.) Had Chazal known about ice cream they would have mandated that it be served every Shabat and Yom Tov.

Well for all those who think that chocalate mint chip is the most popular you are mistaken (unless mr. 80 changes back to his original choice than it will be a tie).

    Vanilla-5

    Chcolate mint chip-4

    pistachio-3

    cookie dough-3

    cookies and cream-3

    coffee-2

To all the other ones-sorry But I only put up those that are 2 or more. (you can correct me if i am wrong)

    #1194450

yes ill go back to CMC

    #1194451

    merriam-webster 2nd definition of vanilla:

    2. lacking distinction, plain, ordinary.

Well I chose vanilla, wow the dictionary really knows me 😉

I don’t have a dictionary but mint is green and choc. chips are dark- so am i safe to assume that choc. mint chip eaters are green with black dots on their faces?

“Yup agent i happen to know who you are and that description fits you perfectly!!” Sorry i take that back (being that agent does not like choc. mint chip)

Agent is really very special, and not at all ordinary even though vanilla was the choice. Sorry 80, the description does not work for everyone…

    #1194458

that definition refers to anything that is bland. it is derived from the nature of the flavor. it is not related (necessarily) to those that like bland flavors.

ex. the word spicy can refer to a flavor, or to other things that share the characteristics of that flavor (in a mushul way). it does not mean that people who like spicy foods are “spicy”.

bland people can like spicy foods.

and spicy people can like vanilla

Here is an updated list! (Mr. 80 you seem to be like a yo-yo, you can change again to vanilla if you’d like…)

    Chcolate mint chip-6

    Vanilla-5

    Pistachio-3

    Cookie dough-3

    Cookies and cream-4

    Coffee-2

    Chocolate-2

    #1194468

Mint Chocolate Chip. Runner ups include anything mocha, cookies and cream.

One of the chief advantages of being Outside of Brooklyn is that it puts one in closer proximity to Max & Minas. BTW, they do have CY, but they don’t do the interesting flavors in CY.

1 scoop Vanilla, 1 scoop coffee, & 1 scoop Peanut butter,

actually banana was pretty way back when they used to make it good, not with the fake yellow color & taste.

    #1194472

I used to like chocolate the best, until I tasted the dead skunk delight. Yum! Thanks for the idea, Mr.80!

BTW, hunting for the skunk was almost as much fun as eating the ice cream.
