How about those people who when they insert their contact lenses, thy open their mouth WIDE, as if that’s going to help get the lens in.

ShalomToYou: While I don’t wear contacts, when I just pretended I was putting them in, when I widened my eyes my mouth automatically opened.

Why doesn’t my teacher realize that even if her assignment is only going to take half an hour, there are ten other teachers whose assignments are also “only” going to take half an hour?

Why do you open your mouth when you are trying to feed a child?

And, did you ever notice the eyes of a riveted crowd when the speaker opens his eyes wide?

What motivates someone to clap during Shmona Esrei?

Why do pople clean their ears out with the side of their glasses, then look at the gook?

Sometimes that’s the reason. If you do it yourself you’ll see that it is often similar to B, you are thinking and hoping that the child just open the mouth and it should all go in neatly. People do it even when the kid is not facing them directly.

Why would somebody call 20 minutes before Shabbos to invite me for a meal? Didn’t she think I already had prepared my meals? Did she really think I did everything at the last minute and hadn’t started yet?

Haifagirl: I agree that that was thoughtless, but she was probably just not thinking.

I will be dan lekaf zchus that the person was going to call earlier and got busy or it slipped their mind and they remembered 20 minutes before Shabbos. Hey when you can give the benefit of the doubt why not give it?
