Why is it that when people text, they think all rules of spelling don’t apply?
It probably started when people were trying to fit everything into one text.
Well, being a typist for my occupation,I can say that I would probably never in my life text for fear of damaging my thumb muscles. All of that activity cannot possibly be good for the joints surrounding parts of the hand. I would assume that trying to cut down on cramping of the hand is why people started to make these shortcuts, simply to save time and their thumb.

b/c it takes to long and ppl dnt necessarily want to sit there writing each and every word or they just dont know how to spell

onegoal, Have you ever tried deciphering shorthand of yesteryear? Or current stenography?
At least there’s half a chance of figuring out some textspeak.
