Does anyone know a yeshiva for serious no shtick sincere guys older/kollel age doing 2/3 sedarim in America small place close kesher w rebbeim non frumspeak style very into learning, halacha and mussar?
What does non frumspeak style mean?
anywhere in the USA? and please explain ‘non frumspeak’
Meaning part of like the no shtick type. That you don’t need to talk w a certain accent and use certain types of words to be a frum jew. Obviously, nobody really feels that way, but I’d fit better w a crowd that doesn’t have its own preset style of speech. And I don’t speak poshut a single word of yiddish.
In America meaning moving from NY is rough but doable, but moving to Israel is a dream.
I’m thinking along the lines of MTJ, but don’t know their style of learning, or what type of guys are there.
And I don’t speak poshut a single word of yiddish.
Mamesh gurnischt? Or nur a bissel?
Above quote sounds like yeshiva-speak to me.
Try Ohr HaChaim in Kew Gardens Hills. It is connected with Touro. The rebbeim are yeshivish and very with it. Rav Eliyahu Soloveichik is a Rosh Yeshiva there and is tremendous. Chicago lost him when Brisk Yeshiva closed.
Look into Sh’or Yoshuv in Far Rockaway
how about rav lettermans yeshivah on coney? don’t know much about it but supposed to be good.
