    I prefer a cheesecake without a crust……………..
    Love seven layer cake, Pesach version is less heavy than year round.

    iacisrmma, I eat gebrokts but I prefer non-gebrokts cake. But anything that’s left over after Pesach has no takers in our house.

    I have never tasted a Pesach cake that was any good. 8 days without cake would do a lot of us a lot of good. And no cake leaves more room for those sugar-drenched jelly candies … mmmmmm.

    YY: My point was directed at mik5 who stated “people who are too lazy to make an al hamichya”. Gebrokts cakes need a brocha me’ein shalosh so I may like pesach cakes and still make an al hamichya.

    As my dear wife says, “Pesach food tastes good until we make havdala.” Let me add here that my wife is an excellent cook, and I gladly eat Pesach leftovers until they are gone.

    I didn’t hate the Pesach dessert cakes we bought this year – would actually eat them year-round if there was nothing better on hand.

    I like Pesach cakes better than year-round cakes.

    Do they have to be homemade?

    I love Pesach brownies way more than regular brownies. They are gluten free and so rich!

    At least the one that I had after the sedar was that good.

    I don’t mean to accuse or make you feel bad, but you may want to look into the Halachos of eating after the Seder – or, more specifically, after eating the Afikoman.

    Ooops Joseph answered that question right before I asked. Thank you.

    Oh! I think I made Pesach cakes when I was a kid. But I don’t know if any were gluten free.

    Some were from a box and others from the special Spice and Spirit edition and another Pesach book.

    Now I want to experiment.

    Btw is it just me or is tapioca powder a new[er] thing? Now cakes use it but I don’t remember it being an ingredient back in the day.
