For those of you who view ywn via your android and BlackBerry10 devices (and maybe iPhone, dont know) may have noticed that YWN has rolled out a new update for the app.
Any opinions?
First explain why YW needs all those permissions. There is no reason YW needs ANY of the permissions they are asking for! After you remove them, then I will try out the app. (Android)
It’s a very clear app, and it works really well. I haven’t found any bugs yet. I just don’t see the point in it cuz it’s the exact same thing as the website! Know what I mean?

For those of us that have our browsers blocked for “religious reasons” the app tends to replace the necessity of the actual browser.
Its great, when are they gonna publish the Motorolal star tak app
its great works well even when i have a filter.

So you mean it’s better than the old one? OK, but why would someone use it instead of a regular browser (unless, as one poster mentioned, the don’t want a browser at all.)
As an app developer I must say that the YWN Android app is done very poorly. Who ever heard of putting the text ‘Back’ in the action bar? Doesn’t an up arrow suffice?
Additionally, the sharing options crash if the user does not have the app installed. Why not just invoke the standard sharing dialog like every other app does?
What is the circle icon doing in the center of the action bar?
